Me!!! Anyone Else Please Post!

you'll get notification in mail this week.

from what I have heard about this scholarship, the weekend in Atlanta sounds amazing. Could anyone be nice enough to elaborate on what they did during the 3-4 days there? Is it a solo trip with just you and no parental guardian needed? I hope to meet many accomplished and dedicated individuals during this experience. Thank you all for your inputs.

Finalist! Join the facebook Group "Coca-cola scholars class of 2008"

I would also like to know what finalist weekend was like.

fINALIST !

Finalist!!!!! When the letter came in a small envelope, I was expecting a rejection. What a surprise!

finalist too!!!! congrats everyone! :-D quick question - does anyone know exactly what the URL is to access the forms online? i logged in to coca-colascholars.org but i don't see it...thanks

I had a hard time with the Coke website too. I'm assuming they don't have everything up yet.

nothing is really up yet. I had called. It'll be up near the end of this week. Smile, relax, enjoy. You got till early March to submit all documents. Are your parents allow to come [if they pay separately?]

Life is Sweet today!!! Do the 250 finalists automatically get $10,000?

the week in Atlanta IS amazing. No parents, just you and a bunch of other crazy high school seniors, and then the Coke staff, who are pretty cool. there are some "alumni" that make it down there, too.
(last year) we went to the aquarium, a braves game, the coke store, but not coke world b/c it was under construction (I think you're good now, though!)
the interviews are really relaxed; just think of it as an all-expenses paid vacation w/o your parents, with a guarantee of 10k. Yes, guarantee (as long as you go). 20k goes to 50 of the kids, but don't stress about it.
also just so y'all know, you can use the Coke scholarship for school-"related" things...like the laptop I'm typing on...so those of you getting full rides, you still have reason to be rather ecstatic! good luck to everyone and I hope you have an amazing time! enjoy the (soda) vending machines that DON'T REQUIRE MONEY! (I thought it was pretty darn cool).

Congratulations to all of you!
(Especially to you MR. Tubbz!!! that's great news!)

Hi can someone answer a question for me

Hey guys,

I'm a finalist this year too. Congrats to everyone!

On the flipside, my mom REALLY wants to come, but I don't know if Coca-cola allows her to go with me. Does coca-cola say you HAVE TO travel by yourself or is it possible to bring along someone that will sleep in the same hotel room as you, etc?

I have no objections to letting my mom come, but still, she's kinda desperate to go with me....

Thx a lot, ~Lilypuppy~

same with mine. Just out of curiosity, is it no parents even if they pay separately? Thanks.

soo....if u got semifinalist but havent got a letter yet can u assume u arent a finalist?

I'm not sure. You can call them up and ask.

So what exactly IS the number? I'm sittin on pins-n-needles for my letter, which I still haven't received! =[

your parents cannot come unless they make their own arrangements to "coincidentally" be in Atlanta at the same time as you, and even then, you MUST FOLLOW THE COKE SCHEDULE or else you forfeit your award...attendance is taken at pretty much every event. you will share a room with one other Coke scholar, and that's prearranged by travel group (groups=bus number...I think we had 5).

there's about 250 kids who come...200 get 10k, 50 get 20k, and then there may or may not be a few there for the Emory scholarship. They only give out a handful of those.

Amber, feel free to PM me your question. That goes for anyone else, too.
