Scholars Weekend 2010

Congrats those who made it. Anyone get details yet on when it is, how we get there, etc.? Im soo pumped..i wanna go to atlanta already lol

Btw you guys think we'll get email/mail tomorrow cuz all i saw is my name on the list so id like some tangible paper lol

I think the emails will go out on the 5th, the notification date they listed on the SF application. Does anyone know what the interview setup is like?

i still havent received an email or snail mail yet even tho i was on the list…can they just send it already lol

my friend did this last year and he said u get so much cool free stuff and they treat u like kings down in atlanta

The interview is pretty formal… you have it with three past scholars/ important people in the education community and you basically expand on your application. For the 20,000 dollar scholarship, you are competing against 24 other people in your “region” for five top awards (the other 20 get $10,000).

I won a scholarship for a national golf program I am involved in, and basically you get to go inside the corporate Coca-Cola building in Atlanta, and you get interviewed by the corporate executives. I was interviewed by two executives along with the other candidate, and as brown14 mentioned, they treat you like kings. It was amazing, and you will have a GREAT time!

I’m confused. I recieved an All-State medal from Coca-Cola and a Scholarship for $1,500.00. How come I am just now hearing about this trip to Atlanta?

different program maybe? coca cola is a huge company which offers quite a few scholarships.

Does anyone who went to Scholars Weekend have the info they talked about on buying a computer. Can you send me a message privately if you do? I’ve not been able to connect with them because of having to call during school.

thanks, i got it.

I am a kenyan student admitted at St Louis university to mechanical engineering . I herby request for scholarship. I scored Excellent grade A in KCSE, GPA 3.80 and SAT 1880
