It will be like $25 a game, so season tickets will run you about $175.

Im so happy about this :). Students finally coming together for a cause lol...just wish it was something bigger than football (tho Im incredibly happy about this decision by Penn State)

I had a feeling there would be a big backlash. I'm glad they decided to keep the same system; after all, the ones who REALLY tickets will be the ones who purchase them early. Students, get your charge cards ready!

Im buying mine first day midnight :).

Seriously that is not a bad idea. This is great that the students have had an impact but on the other hand it also has heightened the awareness of the tickets so I think they will go even faster than ever this year.

Not to burst your bubble, CH121S, but it looks like you will have to get up early, 6:00 a.m., rather that stay up until midnight to be first on-line. ;-)

"3. June 7 - 6:00 AM: The date and time the sale begins. The on line sale will close as soon as all available student season tickets are sold."

See full details here:

How long does it usually take the tickets to sell out? Minutes? Hours? Days? Just wondering for a rough estimate.

last year, it was 13 days - much shorter timeframe than in prior years. This year, due to extra exposure, I wouldn't be surprised if tickets went in a day or two. Those servers may be in trouble!

19382-are you attending PSU?

Where do you see 6:00 AM? This is what I see on the website you provided:

June 7 - 9:00 AM:The date and time the sale begins. The online sale will close as soon as all available student season tickets are sold.

Maybe it was a typo that gopsusports just corrected...who knows. My guess is that 9:00 is right now. 6:00 just seems too early.

Thats the day after my graduation. Im not going to get a lot a sleep that night, but I will definately be on the computer at 8:30 the next morning.

SpringfieldMom, yes I am! =)

OK has anyone called and asked do incoming Freshman have to have the course scheduled in order to get football tickets. My S just received his FTCAP card today and it will be a puch to get this done by the June 9th ticket sale date

-- Week of May 28: All full-time students for Fall 2007 semester, including the incoming freshman class, will be notified via e-mail and U.S. Mail service of the detailed instructions for participating in the sale, as well as a reminder of the start date of the sale. E-mails and U.S. mail addresses used will be those on file with the University.

The part where it says "including the incoming freshman class" means that you will get the notification to purchase tickets regardless of the fact that you registered or did not register for classes. As long as you are part of the incoming freshman class, you will get the chance to purchase tickets. That is how I interpret it.

In the email, it says that you need your student ID number readily available to order tickets. Is that number the nine digit number we (incoming freshmen) have already? Or do you get a different number when you have your advising day because I know you get your student ID taken that day and everything. I'm just making sure because I won't have my FTCAP day until after June 9th, and I want to make sure I am eligible to order tickets on the 9th. Anyone who knows please help an anxious football fan!

I believe it's the 9 digit number on your acceptance letter. It's the same number that's on your ID card.

yes it is the nine digit number on your acceptance letter, that is your penn state id number that is going to be on your penn state id.

Can we really only buy one ticket? I thought that students could buy two... maybe I was just imagining things.

no in the email, it says you can only buy 1 season pass. i wish it was like that, but unfortunately it isnt.

In past years how long did it take to sell all of the tickets? Are they all gone in 60 seconds, 60 minutes?
