2007 PSAT Scores

if you scroll down a few pages. and ya its def harsher than last year at the top. at least last year's wednesday test vs. this year's wed. im hoping to be commended!!

I can't access that---my Adobe Reader is not working...but I hope I'll be able to work with it soon.

Thanks for the site--and good luck w/ your scores.

NY, Jersey, and DC, are known for ridiculously high standards. 218, 220, and 224, respectively, (from last year, i think). So good luck if your from those states.

We got our PSAT scores in michigan

I'm not expecting ours in Nevada for a while.

how did you do sk9?

And I'm lucky that our Index is often VERY low here in Nevada :). So good luck to those of you with the TOUGH competition! (esp. with the math curve like it is!!)

With a math curve like this, I don't expect that there is any room for error which is actually not true for the SAT. One can get scores around 750 missing like 2 or 3, not 1.

Actually, DC is 223. Was 223 last year, not 224. I received a 223 this year and I'm in DC, so I'm hoping the cutoff doesn't increase :)

FYI My scores are:
Math 80 (none wrong) Reading 79 (1 wrong) Writing (1 wrong).

Does anyone have the answers for the whole section 1 on the wednesday pSAT?

What were 22 and 23 and 17 on section 1?

Yeah I'd really like to know about section 1, the animal sounds passage, there was some question asking what some lines talking about guinea pigs and dogs were used for?

ya i would like to know some reading answers from wednesday too. like the question from the animal sounds passage about what the function of the quotes was. was it too show that that the author was skeptical? and was failing to anticipate negative consequences one of the answers on the arbella passage?

Yes I asked someone on here who had already gotten their scores about the function of the quotes and it was show skepticism. I don't know for a fact about the negative consequences question, but that is the answer I put.

On the Arabella passage does anyone know if one of the answers was something about Arabella wanting to get out of her present situation? And on the Civil Rights passage was one of the answers that the preacher, the author's dad, was visibly radiant?

when u say skepticism? what was after it? he was skepitcal about what?

i think that i put both of those answer but i dont have my test back yet. im pretty sure visibly radiant was correct though. does anyone remember if "credible example" was an answer to one of the questions for the passage about fiction?

"14 E convey skepticism about the aptness of certain terms."

can't remember about the credible example question.

I just got mine. My total score was 235. I was pretty please but surprised at the curve.

Math 80
CR 79 (1 wrong)
Writing 76 (1 wrong - some curve!)

Any juniors get a 211 and it was deemed the 99th percentile or a 205 and that was a 98th percentile? That would indicate that score cut-offs went down from last year.

Have any Indiana students received scores yet? I'm still waiting on mine - Oct. 17th PSAT.
