I recently found out that I only scored a 3 on the AP Biology exam. I was shocked because I thought I was guaranteed a 5, given how well I did in the class and how confident my teacher was that I would get a 5. I will be going to college next year with a major in biology, so I was not planning on using AP Credit for Bio since I want to take the intro classes. However, I feel that I let my teacher down and was wondering if I should bother requesting for my test to be hand scored (is this even possible?) because I have no idea how I didn't get a 5 (or even a 4)? This is also my only 3 out of the 8 or so APs that I have taken.

Sometimes you dont perform as you thought you did. You still passed with a 3, and just go to college with a head start in those introductory classes. There is really no need to skip the first classes in college.

It's possible to have the MC handscored but you'd have to pay for it. The info should be in the AP Booklet, or if not, on the collegeboard website.
