2008 Common App.

<p>So is there going to be any changes made to the 2008 Common App.? Or is it to update the paper and change the 2007 to 2008?</p>

<p>Reason i ask, is because i am want to start on my essays and am kind of worried they might change or w.e.</p>

<p>WILL THE 2007-08 COMMON APPLICATION ESSAY TOPICS BE THE SAME?
Yes; the essay prompts will be the same:</p>

<ol>
<li>Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.</li>
<li>Discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.</li>
<li>Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence.</li>
<li>Describe a character in fiction, a historical figure, or a creative work (as in art, music, science, etc.) that has had an influence on you, and explain that influence.</li>
<li>A range of academic interests, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you.</li>
<li>Topic of your choice.</li>
</ol>

<p>You might want to wait. My college counselor said that they deleted allthe information in either Jue or july (can't remember which) and it would be a shame to have all your work deleted</p>

<p>Does Columbia not accept the Common App? I looked on the list that takes the common App and i didn't see Columbia there</p>

<p>Bentley89 - Brown and Columbia are the two Ivies that still don't accept the Common App.</p>

<p>You're supposed to pick one of the six and if a college supplement requires another essay (usually, it's "Why [insert college]?"), then you do that one, as well.</p>

<p>Ok so it would be best to wait. Well ill still write some essays on like some EC and like work experience.</p>

<p>Oh and about supplements do they like change as well? Or it varies depending on which university?</p>

<p>Somehow, Harvard already has the Common App up on its website (for this year, no less). So, take a look everyone.</p>

<p>July 1st is when we can fill it out online (site coming back up, same difference).</p>

<p>Apparently, though, the application itself is already out there.</p>

<p>(Only 9 months and 13 days until we find out whether we got into Harvard or not... I swear, I'm not obsessive.)</p>
