I don't think they're using that website now.

Darn. It was worth a shot.

thanks CatchAFallinStar for the info on rolling admissions; now i'm wondering if they've reviewed everyone's applications already, or if they are going in some specific order

I don't understand why there is rolling admissions. Isn't this done during the regular rounds of college applications? Doesn't the waitlist letter say if a spot becomes available, every waitlistee's file is reviewed? So why haven't all the files been reviewed?

skp, your doubts seem well justified. Given the limited number of spots available and the much larger pool of waitlist candidates, it is in Brown's best interest to take a look at all applications before making admission calls. I don't believe they go blindly one-by-one and make calls on the go without knowing what's still ahead of them.

I wonder if Brown still plans to follow its initial waitlist notification deadline of June 15.

Anyone heard anything recently?

I hope we find out this week, b/c after looking at last year's waitlist thread, this is the exact time everyone else ended up hearing.

Chameli, did you hear anything today?

nope, not yet..how about you?

Nothing. (10 char)

I called, and I was told that some letters were mailed out YESTERDAY!!!!! But I don't know if they are acceptances or rejections tho.

I called and gave them my name, and they said, "Applications are still under review, you will hear by the end of June." I got the feeling that they haven't even looked at my application yet. End of June? This is ridiculous. I know it will end in a rejection letter, anyway.

If they were mailed out yesterday, how long do you think they take to ship?

depends where you are, I'm pretty sure if you expect a week for delivery, it will come earlier than you expect

If it was an acceptance, I'm sure they have used an overnight courier. Therefore, if it's not in by today it doesn't seem like a good prognostic. Rejections probably went by regular mail and will arrive a coupe of days later.

rejected... good luck to those still on the list!!!!

^Where do you live? NE? [haven't heard anything in Georgia yet]

I live in New England. (it's dated June 9th btw)

a little upset, but oh well I still have Tufts!!!

Anyone have any idea how many spots are left?

I haven't posted in a long time. I tried staying away from this website since everytime I look at the waitlist thread, I either see bad news or I see something that says acceptances are going out, and then I'm disappointed when I don't get one. Argh! Obviously, I caved.
