2008 PSAT scores

DeirdreTours: Did you get the form (to select the favorite college) in the NM site? I will look…Thanks.

We got it in the mail from a school encouraging son to select them. We actually covered the school name and wrote another. But, a few weeks prior to this, I spoke to a rep at the NMS org and she did say the form could be downloaded from the site.

DeidreTours -Many thanks!

Greenery,

I am pretty sure that when you get the semifinalist letter, you get a form where you can name 2 schools to be notified. It gives you an opportunity to “show interest” in those school this way, I guess.

When you are filling out the finalist application, you have to select your first choice school (or put “undecided”). You later can change the school up until May of senior year.

If your child was a finalist, the name of the school that was named in the application was on the finalist letter. The application package had a yellow card in it that can be used to notify NMC of your first choice if you were “undecided”, or change the college you originally chose. I am pretty sure that there is a form on their web site that can be used for it as well.

Greenery,
I noticed you have posted on the USC forum. I hope you are aware that if you decide to go to USC AND list them as your first choice on the NM form, you will receive a 1/2 tuition scholarship from USC for all 4 years plus an additional $1000 per year from National Merit.

nngmm and Menloparkmom: Perfect, thanks for the information and for sharing your experiences…so we will wait.

DeidreTours, thanks: I found the link for “How to report a college choice or change”:
