<p>Does anyone know what applications are up?</p>
<p>I know Deerfield's application has come in the mail, but what about others? SPS? Andover? Common Application?</p>
<p>Also: is it better to use the school's given application rather than the choice of the Common Application?</p>
<p>I think most of the schools’ use the Common Application, but I know for a fact that the “10 Schools” all use the common app, & that would include Andover and Deerfield.</p>

<p>Wait, I don’t understand what you mean. It said on each site that Andover, SPS, Choate and Deerfield do not accept the Common Application, they have their individual application they want filled out. They accept the Common Recommendation Forms, though. Correct me if I’m wrong.</p>

<p>The Common Application is different from the Common Recommendation Form. One’s an application, one’s a recommendation form.</p>
<p>Exeter’s application will come automatically in September. Andover’s new option of doing your application online will be ready in September too.</p>

on the TABS website, Andover and Deerfield (don’t remember SPS/choate) weren’t on the list of schools that accept the common recommendation form. are you sure about this?

<p>They accepted it last year. I don’t it’ll change because in Deerfield’s application package of THIS year, a card came in it listing all the schools accepting the Common Rec. Andover and Exeter were one of them. So either Deerfield got their facts wrong, or TABS did, maybe?</p>

<p>Thats a different Common Rec then the TABS one. The Ten Schools (Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Groton, Etc.) made their own Common Rec form.</p>

<p>Deerfield has it’s own essay prompts, and if memory serves me and they haven’t made a change, they require MORE essays than the Common App. I recall my daughter slaving away over that one!</p>
