Will that make me a commended scholar?

My guidance counselor told our class that anything above a 200 was commended but I wanted to see if this was true.

I got a 68 in reading, 74 in math, and a 59 in writing (argh)

I'm wondering the same thing.
Got 199. 63 68 68.
Any hopes of being commended?

It changes from year to year but generally commended is around 202-203 so you guys may be just a tad low for commended.

Commended in Florida is usually 200. Last year NMSF went down to 211 from 212. Right now, it's too early to try to establish any trend.

Please understand the two, different standards.

Commended cutoff is one score that applies across all states. For juniors who took the Fall 2008 test, the commended cutoff will be announced in spring 2009.

Semi-finalist cutoff is 50 different scores--a unique score is determined for each state. Again, this figure won't be announced until spring 2009.
