<p>the cut-off was 202 last year I believe, & its a consistent cutoff number across all states; although some state semifinalist cutoffs can move a couple of points at times, the commended cutoff represents the the whole population of test takers, so shouldn't change too radically year to year. So 203 is PROBABLY commended.</p>
<p>I agree - 203 SHOULD be enough for commended. It was 202 last year (and 201 and 200 the two previous years). You'll know in May - if you are at least commended you'll get a letter from NM asking you to name two schools to be notified of your interest/high scores.</p>
