Oh and also 60 % outside info?!!! Darn my teacher for not saying anything! I thoughg it was just like euro except put in outside info and don’t worry about core points . Wats the highest score u can get for a dbq with just some outside info?

@ rebeccar

I sure hope so, that’s exactly what I did too. I can’t believe they would penalize you THAT much for something like that if you prove you can write a good essay and that you know what you’ve talking about. Anyone else have any opinions. And if this is severely penalized, what type of score are we talking as a “ceiling,” 2? 4?

@Alleviate
that’s the actual grading scales from the tests in just the last few years, so they will be relatively close. no way to know for sure though since they adjust the grading curve for every single test based on how well people do

Arwene, missing 15 questions and skipping 5 = 60 questions right. and Getting 2 5s and a 7 is great. That definitely a 5.

I love how everyone was just astonished by the DBQ. I was like WHAT THE HELL!?

The curve will probably be harsher this year.

Sigh I wrote more and better for this than English. Sounds like I flipped the two tests and screwed them both.

@ tech,

yea we will just have to find out. But people like dipole are crazy@!@ getting 70/80s lmao. Screwing up the curve for us xD

Does anybody know what happens if I forgot to write down the right form?
I bubbled it in correctly though, just forgot to write it in pencil.

^ As long as you bubbled it in it shouldn’t matter. The computer uses the grid to check the form and questions lol

Thx alleviate. I really thought those would be “bad” scores, but now I feel a teeny bit better:) July is so far away!

I think they just use the written one in the event of the scantron now working correctly, so you will Probably be ok

Np arwene, you’ll get a 5. 2 7s is really good.

Thanks, Alleviate and TechShep!

question:
what do you think will happen if: on my 1st essay i wrote a great essay and including tons of info but i accidentally put the wrong name for one of the battles, just the name. how much will that affect my essay? and also on my 2nd essay i wrote my 1st paragraph on one topic and probably put enough outside info to get a 9 if i kept it up and wrote a really long paragraph but for the 2nd paragraph and 2nd topic i really didnt know much and i just made generalizations. So whats gonna happen

DBQ was impossible! I couldn’t think of any capital letter evidence ):

FRQ’s were a joke and most of the multiple choice was too. But oh well, we’re all done! woohoo!

Oh. Maybe I overestimated my essays. I thought a 7 would be average/ lowballing it…,:(

^ You’ll probably do average or a bit better. One battle misinterpretation won’t hurt that much. I just think they should be lenient on names and years/dates of stuff. It’s alot of info… can’t expect us to remember every single name and location/time of occurence lol -_-

Billsrage: I also had an essay where I had great evidence for one paragraph and just generalized the second paragraph. It’ll probably keep up from getting the highest score for the essay, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it. As for mixing up the name of the battle, you can still make a ‘minor error’ on the essay and get a score in the highest range.

^ So what do you think you got then, arwene? On the essays?

Yea one battle name- I mean , I’m assuming u gave enuf info so they know what battle u actually meant so it’s no biggie
