To those asking about UCSF Tetrad interviews:

There will be two dates – February 5 and 26 (both Fridays, but there is a dinner the night before if you can make it). Also, they are having their meeting this week to decide who to send invites to. To the best of my knowledge, the Tetrad program has NOT sent any invites as of yet.

@tinkerer, thanks. I was not invited to a particular “area”, just BCS, maybe you’re thinking of a different program. I didn’t apply to Harvard neuro, I did bbs and mco, so i still have hope!

Who here applied to Harvard BBS or MCB/MCO?

Congrats Serric! Which field have you specifically been applying? I applied to Duke as well, however I applied to their PCB program. Hopefully I’ll be hearing from them soon as well.

Thanks! And I’ve applied to all neuroscience programs, with the exception of Michigan’s PIBS and Duke’s CMB programs. Hopefully you’ll hear back!

Did anybody here get interview invitation from Pathobiology program at University of Washinton? I am an international student, the coordinator said they would release interviews around Jan.4 , but I haven’t heard of anything yet…

ItsGarfield: there’s only one weekend for Brown, at the end of February, so my guess is that the majority of invitations are out; however, as invited applicants receive more interview requests and have to make decisions about how they will spend the limited time, some may drop out, thus opening up a few more spots. This is just conjecture on my part.

molbio: I can’t remember exactly. I -think- it’s tomorrow, but not 100% sure. I wouldn’t expect to hear anything until next week though (don’t freak out!).

To those of you who received the request for a faculty list at Wash U’s BBS Program: have you all been invited for interviews? I just received an email asking for my list (I submitted my application right before the deadline), and I’m just wondering what this means.

I know a lot of people who received this email AT THIS TIME (around Jan) before receiving formal interview.

However, I received this email ONE MONTH ago but still received no news, so I’m really wondering I was first selected for interview but then cut off…sigh~~~

It’s official, from the program itself: All University of Washington Neurobiology invitations have been sent out and all plane tickets have been purchased.

Hello!
So, I’m not sure if there are others out there like me hoping to hear back from any Evolutionary Biology PhD Programs, because I’ve searched this thread and some others and I’ve gotten very few/outdated hits. I’ve applied to UChicago, Cornell, Princeton, UCLA, UCDavis, SUNY Stonybrook, & Rutgers as well as NYU and Georgetown (Biology PhDs). Has anyone heard from any of these schools? I received an email yesterday from a professor @ UCLA to discuss “opportunities” in his lab but I haven’t received a formal invite. Is that indicative of an interview to come, or should I not get my hopes up? Thanks!
