Anyone one heard from Colorado (Boulder) MCDB?

@RDWRER,

That awesome. I applied to UPenn neuro as well but have yet to hear anything. Ah well. Good luck though!

bluepeach: I got details from Stanford per Email.

^ While some other Biosciences programs seem to inform via telephone. (But all will eventually send an e-mail as well.)

Just looked at the results over on TheGradCafe; looks like UCSF Neuroscience is issuing invites today.

hey guys

can someone please post TheGradCafe link where you guys are seeing all these updates? i can’t seem to find it…thanks in advance!

ALSO, congrats on everyone’s interviews…I see several people have gotten UCSF tetard invites, but has anyone gotten a rejection? from previous years, it seemed that they were sending out rejections ~the same time as invites, so I’m thinking maybe that would be a good way to know if they’re done with their invites or not…

thanks, jixani and kryptonsa36. I am GODDAMN nervous!!!

Got an interview offer via email today from Carnegie Mellon Biological Sciences. Stats as follows:

GPA: 3.43, GRE: 800Q, 690V, 5.0AW
Top 20 undergraduate university
Applied to (all Neuroscience except CMU): USC, UCSD, U Washington, CalTech, CMU

Just got an email invitation from the University of Chicago Biomedical Sciences. Interviews are Feb 4-6. Anyone else going?

Also, has anyone done (or is planning to do) back to back interviews? How did the second one go? Were you too tired by then?

Got an interview at Stanford, Developmental Biology.

Also:
Berkeley MCB
WashU DBBS
UCLA ACCESS

Now what am I gonna do? How am I gonna decide between Stanffy and Cal??? Cal is my dream school but Stanford is Stanford… :'(

I’ll be doing back-to-back interviews, starting a week from Sunday (1/24-1/26 Albert Einstein, 1/28-1/30 UMich). Although it’s going to be one hell of a week, I’m actually sort of happy for it: although I’m interested in all my schools, UMich is my top choice, so I get an interview under my belt before interviewing there.

I’ll let you know how it goes!

Anybody hear from Stanford MCP?

I got an invite from Dev. Biology but I’m waiting for MCP

You only get an invite from one. So if you got one from Dev Bio, I’m assuming you aren’t going in MCP. I also think they pick for you, if you rank multiple ones. But congratulations on the MCP invite!!!

Come to think of it, I did specify that I had no preference between MCP, Dev. Bio and Genetics. So I shouldn’t expect any more invites, huh? Thanks, at least now the wait is officially over. Does anybody know how many people are usually rejected after interviews? Like percentage-wise?

Hey lifesciencesgeek,

So far I have only seen people get invites for the following Stanford home programs:

biology, biochem, genetics, chem/systems bio, dev bio, neuro, informatics

I saw on gradcafe that occasional applicants get their invite in the post (perhaps depending on their home program)…another thing to check obsessively

That’s my thinking as well, seeing as my second interview is for my top choice program (UWash) too. And on top of that, the plane ride from Chicago to Seattle is a lot shorter than Atlanta to Seattle…

From me, many pages ago:
:)

Don’t worry too much.

Interview: Scripps Research Institute, Biology track
Interview weekends February 26-28 and March 5-7.

I’m still in shock status.
