<p>thanks. I did notice that the OP’s listing (in that link) was posted last yr 8/2009. I was looking for this yr’s, published in 8/2010 - but this is obviously still informative since it gives the major players suitable for a college search and comparison. From one yr to the next, a few positions up or down mean nothing. </p>
<p>also, I was not able to find in that thread the smaller institutions whose top degree is a BS or MS (more than the top 10+; see comment above on position nmbr).</p>
<p>i must also sheepishly ask - where is the sticky at the top of the forum? It is probably staring at me. I dont see something called a sticky. maybe it is a control that I do not have on my PC?</p>

<p>If you go to the engineering forum front page, its the second thread on that page. Should say: “IMPORTANT: List of linked threads for the Engineering Forum”.</p>
<p>However, I dont think they have lists from USNR for schools without PhDs.</p>
