I'm an international student my may SAT scores were delayed till now and I received an email from an official from ETS stating that my scores were delayed because they are under administrative review and it might take up to four weeks, i called ETS and the assistant of one who's responsible for my scores told me that my scores were delayed because of significant decrease in maths ( I've got 770 in December test, and decided not to answer in may so i answered like 2-3 questions in each section), and significant increase in writing section ( I've got 620 in November test so i decided not to focus mainly in December's SAT so I've got 450 in December), now am confused, last one of my brother friends faced the same issue and his scores weren't released, so what should i do wait the two-four weeks that they told me about or call/email them so many time hoping that they'll release the scores early or release them in the first place because I've to get my papers done before 28/8 and i didn't even order the score report which takes up to 3 weeks to be delivered to me here in Egypt, am really confused so please help me guys ? :(

call them. I would be anxious if I was in ur situation. Good luck!

Your scores will come out soon enough; ETS just wants to make sure that there wasn’t a major scanning error.

In their defense, though, by not answering most of the math sections, you were sort of asking for an ETS review. Tough luck.

Erm…you should ALWAYS answer a question and do your best even if you already scored well before. When the Collegeboard notices students with significant decreases/increases in scores, they think something’s fishy.

Mine were delayed too. Sucks huh?

I can understand if you do well in one section and decide to focus your studies on another area but I don’t understand the reasoning behind only answering a handful of questions in select sections. If you didn’t get a 2400 then isn’t it prudent to try your best on every test?

It was a stupid mistake and I hope that ETS will eventually release the scores, I just need to know when cause i need to know if my scores increased and if they will be valid before ordering the score report, Yet if i understand it right CB flag a test when there’s an increase over 350 in the overall score, so if there was an increase, i do want that increase, so should i wait till the 14 June as they told me in the email and call them then or call/email them so many time that they will regret the day they decided to flag my score ? :D

@TheGreatDeceiver SUCKS A LOT :S

ETS also flags when there is a significant decrease in scores as well.

My son got a letter today from ETS stating that his sat’s that he took on June 4 is being under administrative review to wait 2 weeks or call after 2 weeks. Is this common to happen? they would not explain the reason why. Should I call anyways or wait the 2 weeks?
I will appreciate anyone advise and opinion of what to do.

Lucy- all you can do is wait. It is likely because your son either had a jump in his score or a fall (hopefully the former) and they are investigating.

What will probably happen is that it will be cleared and you’ll get your score in 2 weeks.

There’s a small chance that they will declare that his score is the result of cheating and either give you the option of letting him to take it again and verify his score for free or refunding his exam.

The fact that you chose not to answer many of the questions probably led them to believe that someone else might have taken your test for you before, thus scoring much higher the first time, but the next time, scoring much lower by another person or yourself, possibly.

Hope it works out well for you.
