wasnt the main idea about the association with the past and future?
because if i can recall correctly the author said the old buildings paid tribute to the past…sth like this

I agree with Lucazzz

hey , i think about anyone… that he cant easily impressived by “anyone’s” data.
And the question is that “anyone” indicate ________
i think my answer may be wrong cuz i put his bitter ciriticism… but other answer dun remember except “his knowledgeble sceicne”

@bearbox: i agree that the association between past and future is not the main idea of the passage, but i think the final question is about the “primary purpose”, which is describing the harmful consequences of a particular practice. So the answer is about the great cost.
And about the “anyone” question, i remember the bitter choice was exactly “personal bitterness”, so i crossed it. “comprehensive view of his skepticism” is correct :D

Lucazzz

I agree “anyone”
but i cant “cost” cuz i put something like that seems to human & nature’s balance…
main idea of the passage is that past building is valuable cuz that make people to balance with their environment and such building was wisely built.

I also put “deliberate” in the butterfly passage for the “immigrate” question. cuz the author of P2 EVEN does not think butterflies’ action can be called “immigrate”.

About the flies and scientist’s one. its “anyone” and not comprehensive

hey!! wat was the the answer for the math written question about the bisect thingy

was the last one in the math written 0
and the question where it says which one of these could make the integer N odd
was it like e

also is the opposite side of the star a circle on the square

also the question with moths where one of the choices said theories are sometimes not based on empirical science or something

and wat was the anwswer to the first question to the grammar reading:when i was forteen my teacher made us read the book…
was it show her attitude or origin???

also was the hamlet one E

and the the one with the 1919 world series question grammar

for the grandma question was it was like stratuque and … and direct and forceful… which one was it???

also wat was the last grammar question in the grammar section??? about the inspire

u have to say a little more about the options, coz i dont remember them. I do remember the math one, it was 0 for the last q. Did the hamlet one have “were”, if yes, it was e.

Hey guys … here is talking about not MATH or WR but CR…

@bearbox: i think the answer for the “primary purpose” is clearly great cost. The author’s central idea is well-built buildings show respect to the connectivity of the past and future, like the ancestors did, but people are not doing it, making many harmful consequences, including the estrangement from nature. The nature idea is small…

To oppress: “To keep down by severe and unjust use of force or authority: a people who were oppressed by tyranny.”

To confront: “To come face to face with, especially with defiance or hostility: I wish to confront my accuser in a court of law.”

I think the answer clearly is confrontational.

Are you guys sure it’s trivial and not gentle?

I’m pretty sure it was gentle.

The grandma says something gentle previously (Oh, you’re my child, or whatever) so it is logical that he would not be able to think of something gentle to say too. Trivial doesnt really make sense; why would he say something insignificant after such a meaningful statement from the grandma?

IN ADDITION

The grandma was FORCEFUL and DIRECT AND NOT STATUESQUE. She’s a grandma and it says previously she was 5 feet. I don’t think an old lady who’s 5 feet tall would be statuesque.

IN ADDITION

I’m unsure for the self-mocking tact vs. half-hearted humor. I wrote half-hearted humor because they’re making fun of their old age with a tinge of regret. It IS humor. Self-mocking can be not humorous and she doesn’t solely mock herself.

holy…

ur vocab was much tougher than those of US students

It is trivial. and it is self mocking.

how do you know for sure?

Does anyone rmb other choices of the q about “pardon”?
