2011 SAT Writing Experimental Section

What section was the writing experimental on the 2011 March SAT? Lets discuss the questions here.

On my SAT it was section 7 and it seemed to have harder questions. My second section (section 2) was the real writing section, I think, but I'm not completely sure.

i think the experimental was the one about the e-books.
the one with the much harder questions, and i got like 4 Es for it.

for some reason e-books isn’t coming up in my head… that was the final passage part whre you have to do multiple revisions, right? do you remember anything else about the passage?

I’m almost positive that that was the experimental section, it was harder than the second section. The final passage in the section was about ebook readers. It mentioned how a lot of people prefer real books and that ebook reader batteries can bad for the environment.

the non-experimental was the one about the old/new cars. buying cars, considering the cost, etc.etc.
the experimental was the one about how books are out of use and people are starting to use e-books now b/c the argument was made that ebooks saves trees but it actually is harmful for the environment because it uses batteries etc.etc.

i don’t even think i got that… that is weird! i had 2x 35 question sections on writing and 1 final section with 14 questions. i remember one about buying a car, was that experimental or the real one? I think i did better on the one with a car.

e-books was definitely experimental. I thought that one was much more difficult than the real one.

well do you know if its likely that the experimental section would be section 7 in comparison to section 2?

i think we all had different sections throughout the test.
the car was the real one.
what’s the point of experimental anyway?

did no one else have an experimental writing section with a passage about a grandfather telling a story about dday?

i had the grandfather one also

oh yey i wasnt hallucinating :stuck_out_tongue:
i know it doesnt matter, but out of curiosity, for the best title did you put grandfather’s dday? :P

just remembered, the writing passage was about sensual perceptions eyesight vs ear. was that experimental?

All I remember was that the Writing experimental was terrible, with about 4-5 “No Errors” in the Identifying Errors sections.

Hmm, I didn’t have the e-books or the grandfather one so I guess I had a reading experimental section - which was the reading one?

so is grandfather the experimental?

lol i had 6 no errors for the experimental.
thank goodness it was experimental…

so d day and e book were both the sxperimental right sec 7???
