Congrats M2CKS & son!

Congratulations!!! I mainly lurk on this board, but I’ve been following your journey. So glad to hear all went well!

Ey Jack, what exciting news! (Don’t know if you were intentionally quoting Duck Dynasty with your “happy happy happy” phrase)

But seriously. That’s great! What a relief. Congratulations to future doc and his proud mama!

Happy for him and all the family. Congrats. With all the help you give others, hadn’t realized you were on your own “pins and needles.” ! Happy New Year.

Congrats on the first and more to come! Relax and enjoy!

Thanks everyone.

And thank-you Entomom for moving the thread here. :)

"Son just accepted to an MD med school. "

Congratulations M2CK son!

Great news, M2CK!

Congratulations m2ck and m2cks! Hadn’t “seen you here” for awhile, so I guessed you were on pins 'n needles as you played that dreaded waiting game. Glad you have good news to share.

Yup. Yup. Yup. First one is sweet. Big congrats.

Congratulations! I am very happy for you and your son.

Congrats to you and son M2CK!!

Great News!

Mom, Congrats to you and your family!! Fingers cross for you for more acceptances, esp to the public ones so that you can have choices as far as finances (but one is all that’s needed). Now you can breathe…

Congrats! Hopefully more good news will follow.
Mine is done with lecture part, couple exams are ahead and no more lectures. Can’t believe she will be MS3 in March. Seemed to have lined up Research rotation, going thru all kind of on-line training as a break from studying for exams.

Thanks! It is a relief.

:)

Congrats to anyone’s acceptance announcements that I may have missed in recent weeks.

Someone did ask if schools are still interviewing. Son did get an invite recently for an interview later this month to the “other” public SOM in our state. After speaking to some older friends who went thru the med school app process in previous years, this SOM has a reputation of interviewing late…often long after students have acceptances at other schools. I wonder if they do this to “weed out” kids who know that they’ll be going elsewhere and who will decline their II??? Since this SOM is desirable to my son, he’s going to the interview and hopes to be accepted.
