No, they definitely take off points for the dx or dt…if you put ∫2x-3 dx they’d take off points because you need to have ∫(2x-3)dx

…no they don’t. It’s pretty clear what you mean when you write the first statement anyway.

they actually do take off points if you forget dx. my teacher was an AP grader and he says that if you don’t have the integral correct, which includes dx, you lose that point. Graders don’t make assumptions about what you know even if its clear to you, they grade you on what you show on the paper.

I mean for the two blerb showed anyway. And for a question where it specifically asks to show the integral, then I’d understand, but otherwise it shouldn’t matter much.

Teachers who were graders often tell their students that they deduct points for omitting the dx so that students don’t get into sloppy habits.

Plus, in some cases, when the meaning is ambiguous, they will deduct the points; for instance, if blerb’s read ∫2x-3, it would be unclear whether this intended ∫(2x-3) dx or if it intended ∫2x dx - 3, and thus, it would lose the point. But, in other cases, such as writing ∫f(x), it’s entirely clear what is intended, and it would receive full credit.

i got 2.6667 i think there was a proportion…

hey all of you have you guys called in to see what you guys got on the test
you can call now for a fee or wait until your teacher receives your results on July 6
i received 5 :)

I also got a 5!!!

I got a 5!!!

My teacher got the scores today

Oh yea, I got a whopping 5!
Calculus is ∫e xy where x is the difference and y is the variable of integration.

I got a 5 :)

Reply if you received a 5 because only 15% of all testers get such a score! I got a 5!

I got a 5, too, but I have zero idea how it happened. I did well in the class, but didn’t study at all for the exam and ended up doodling for most of the FRQ section (which was unlike anything we’d ever done in class)… oh well!

Calculus-free college, here I come!

Did you guys get your scores in the mail or call?

hoping for a 5!!!

me got a 5!!!
15%?.. not bad

i guess my teacher didn’t do too bad, her scores last year were 34 who scored a five, and 2 who scored a four, hopefully this year is just as good

I got a 5, which was a relief because I butchered two of the FRQ’s.

For Calculus AB 2012, 24.9% of test takers recieved a score of 5, not 15%.

I got a five!

I was actually sick when I took the exam. It was rather awful, because I could feel myself getting more and more sick while I was taking the test, so that by the end I had a fever (which had not been present that morning and literally cropped up within four hours) and was just ready to collapse. But apparently I did well. Yay!

I scored a 5 and was sick as well lol. :)
