I only took one AP exam this year, and that was the AP Biology exam. I ended up getting a five. When I heard my score, I flipped out. I seriously yelled and rolled on the floor.

I think Iāve gotten dumber over the years:

US History - 4 (retook to get credit, thought I did 10x better than sophomore year but got same score, must have been bad curve)
Art History - 4 (self studied HARD but only started 6 days before exam, bought Barronās on Weds before AP week)
Euro History - 5
Spanish Language - 2 (expectedā¦but still hoped for a 3 in the back of my mind)

Definitely, definitely lost intelligence somewhere between junior and senior year haha

I just got back from a three week trip to India with some of my friends and decided to check my scores. In all honestly, I was 80% that I didnāt even pass any of them due to senioritis, a complete lack of studying, and the fact that I ended up just doodling Spongebob characters and writing about Prom on both my AP Bio and AP Calc tests.

So when I heard this:

AP Bioā5
AP Calc ABā5
AP English Langā5
AP Spanish Langā5

I literally rolled around on the floor laughing, hysterical from jet lag.

Alright, I was really bummed when I decided to call in and get my scores. I had a terrible few months leading up to APās, and was totally apathetic by the time the tests took place. In all honesty, I was a pretty good student, and my teachers expected all 5ās out of me. After taking the tests, I was pretty sure I failed at least 2 of the 3, and wanted to get the news done with as soon as possible. Without further speculation, hereās what I got:

AP Chemistry - 3
*This is the one I feared the most. I didnāt exactly have trouble with Chemistry, but I didnāt really show genius prodigy skills with it either. I didnāt do any studying for it, even though I probably shouldāve. If I had taken it more seriously, I would have definitely had at least a 4. It was a good lesson, though. I feel like I let down the best teacher Iāve had to date, and will not let another course beat me like this one again.

AP United States History - 4
*I didnāt expect anything less than a 4 or 5 on this one; it was stupidly easy. Provided I didnāt have a crummy few months and wasnāt sidetracked from school, a 5 wouldāve happened definitely. Iām still happy and will take the 4, though.

AP English Language - 4
*English wasnāt really a strong subject for me until recently, when I learned to write in the top tiers of my class. Even that couldnāt save me from the multiple choice, which were ridiculously subjective and I donāt like as a test due to the fact two experts probably couldnāt take it and get the same answers. Iāll take the 4, but I really wanted to be the first boy that my English teacher had to get a 5 in her years of teaching.

All in all, I did what I needed to, I suppose. Last year I got a 5 in AP World History, and next year I have 6 AP classes stacked up to take on. Iāll be sure to take them more seriously, and Iām going to guarantee nothing short of 4ās and 5ās.

Calculus AB 5
Microeconomics 5 ( honestly expected a 3 soooo happy right now :D)
Macroeconomics 4
Psychology 4 (happy considering i self studied)

Spanish Language-3ā¦really disappointed about this one. My teacher told me I was one of the best sheās had and she wanted me to get a 5. I knew while I was taking the test that that wasnāt gonna happen but I was hoping to get lucky and get the 4ā¦sheās gonna be mad when she sees that 3. And I needed a 4 or 5 to get college credit so thatās a little annoying

Physics b-2. More than expected. Honestly thought I was gonna get a 1. I had the worst teacher in the world; by the end of the year we only know close to half the material for the exam. Plus my college doesnāt take credit for it so I felt no need to study whatsoever.

Ahhh Iāll miss those days in ap classes and freaking out about exam grades in the summer and spending hundreds of dollars on Princeton review books I hardly use

āIām really upset about the two. My AP Spanish teacher was by far my favorite teacher through high school; I had her for three years, and she was confident that Iād pass. I really feel like I let her down.ā

PhantomVirgo I know exactly how you feel, my Junior year my situation with my Spanish Lang teacher was the exact same way and I kind of feel like I underperformed in the same way because she would always talk me up and I had gotten 5s on all our practice exams.

But anyway, arenāt colleges supposed to have received AP scores already? Because Iāve been checking every day on the Texas āclaim your creditā website and thereās nothing /:

Calc AB - 5
Saw this one coming. Breezed through the class and subsequently the test.

English Language - 5
Caught me a little off guard. I knew from my essay grades in the class all year that I would be all right on the free response portion, but I literally fell asleep for part of the multiple choice. But hey, Iām not complaining.

US History - 5
For once, being an overconfident ā ā ā ā ā ā ā helped me out.

Bio - 5
I have literally no idea what happened here, but I am ecstatic.

@Longhorn, exact same here man. I went to my teacher one day to go over some practice problems I did and we did a few and then she said āoh donāt worry about it. I know youāll do fineā and then I got a 3ā¦she and the other Spanish teacher I had both expected a 5. And on top of that they gave me an award at graduation for being the best in the grade at Spanishā¦Iām ready for the email of disappointment

@jspeed12 Haha seriously itās so frustrating cause I ended up getting above the grades I expected on my other two exams my junior year and then the one, single test I cared about and prepared for extensively I do worse? Really? When I next saw my Spanish teacher I just got this look of complete disappointment and I was too ashamed to talk to her lol. But itās all good cause at least now I get to watch soccer in Spanish with the way more exciting announcers haha gotta cling to something positive!

^oh dang you saw your teacher afterwards? haha Iām gonna try to stay as far away from mine as possible. This same teacher has a class of freshmen and my friendās little sister is in that class and she said that the teacher talked a lot about how I was gonna do well on it. and I remember one day she told us she expected another one of her students to do well and he ended up getting a two and she went on a hardcore rant about how mad she was about itā¦I donāt think she knows yet so I kinda wanna apologize ahead of time but Iām scared. and yea all 5 years of spanish Iāv gotten high Aās in the classes, 96 in AP and then what do I have to show for it? A 3 on the exam. To be fair, I donāt think anyoneās gotten a 5 in 3 or 4 years but still kinda stingsā¦you know how you did on it yet?

Princeton16, How do you manage to study for all these tests? Do you do them on our own and how many hours a week do you devote to studying just for APās and with each exam costing about 87 bucks, it must be really expensive. I am really impressed with your scores, and would love to know how you did it.

BTW
8th grade Calc AB - 5
Freshman calc BC - 5
Bio - 5

Got a 5 in AP Human Geography!!!
I was worried that I might have gotten a 4.
No offense to anyone that failed, but I donāt see why Human Geography has such a huge failing rate.
Hopefully I can get 5ās on:
AP Chemistry.
AP Biology.
AP U.S. History.
AP Computer Science A.
