I just got back from a three week trip to India with some of my friends and decided to check my scores. In all honestly, I was 80% that I didnā€™t even pass any of them due to senioritis, a complete lack of studying, and the fact that I ended up just doodling Spongebob characters and writing about Prom on both my AP Bio and AP Calc tests.

So when I heard this:

AP Bioā€“5
AP Calc ABā€“5
AP English Langā€“5
AP Spanish Langā€“5

I literally rolled around on the floor laughing, hysterical from jet lag.

College here I come, yo!

OMG i got a 5 on Human geography my first AP exam!!!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using CC

Alright, I was really bummed when I decided to call in and get my scores. I had a terrible few months leading up to APā€™s, and was totally apathetic by the time the tests took place. In all honesty, I was a pretty good student, and my teachers expected all 5ā€™s out of me. After taking the tests, I was pretty sure I failed at least 2 of the 3, and wanted to get the news done with as soon as possible. Without further speculation, hereā€™s what I got:

AP Chemistry - 3
*This is the one I feared the most. I didnā€™t exactly have trouble with Chemistry, but I didnā€™t really show genius prodigy skills with it either. I didnā€™t do any studying for it, even though I probably shouldā€™ve. If I had taken it more seriously, I would have definitely had at least a 4. It was a good lesson, though. I feel like I let down the best teacher Iā€™ve had to date, and will not let another course beat me like this one again.

AP United States History - 4
*I didnā€™t expect anything less than a 4 or 5 on this one; it was stupidly easy. Provided I didnā€™t have a crummy few months and wasnā€™t sidetracked from school, a 5 wouldā€™ve happened definitely. Iā€™m still happy and will take the 4, though.

AP English Language - 4
*English wasnā€™t really a strong subject for me until recently, when I learned to write in the top tiers of my class. Even that couldnā€™t save me from the multiple choice, which were ridiculously subjective and I donā€™t like as a test due to the fact two experts probably couldnā€™t take it and get the same answers. Iā€™ll take the 4, but I really wanted to be the first boy that my English teacher had to get a 5 in her years of teaching.

All in all, I did what I needed to, I suppose. Last year I got a 5 in AP World History, and next year I have 6 AP classes stacked up to take on. Iā€™ll be sure to take them more seriously, and Iā€™m going to guarantee nothing short of 4ā€™s and 5ā€™s.

Calculus AB 5
Microeconomics 5 ( honestly expected a 3 soooo happy right now :D)
Macroeconomics 4
Psychology 4 (happy considering i self studied)

Calc AB-5

Spanish Language-3ā€¦really disappointed about this one. My teacher told me I was one of the best sheā€™s had and she wanted me to get a 5. I knew while I was taking the test that that wasnā€™t gonna happen but I was hoping to get lucky and get the 4ā€¦sheā€™s gonna be mad when she sees that 3. And I needed a 4 or 5 to get college credit so thatā€™s a little annoying

Physics b-2. More than expected. Honestly thought I was gonna get a 1. I had the worst teacher in the world; by the end of the year we only know close to half the material for the exam. Plus my college doesnā€™t take credit for it so I felt no need to study whatsoever.

Ahhh Iā€™ll miss those days in ap classes and freaking out about exam grades in the summer and spending hundreds of dollars on Princeton review books I hardly use

ā€œIā€™m really upset about the two. My AP Spanish teacher was by far my favorite teacher through high school; I had her for three years, and she was confident that Iā€™d pass. I really feel like I let her down.ā€

PhantomVirgo I know exactly how you feel, my Junior year my situation with my Spanish Lang teacher was the exact same way and I kind of feel like I underperformed in the same way because she would always talk me up and I had gotten 5s on all our practice exams.

But anyway, arenā€™t colleges supposed to have received AP scores already? Because Iā€™ve been checking every day on the Texas ā€œclaim your creditā€ website and thereā€™s nothing /:

Calc AB - 5
Saw this one coming. Breezed through the class and subsequently the test.

English Language - 5
Caught me a little off guard. I knew from my essay grades in the class all year that I would be all right on the free response portion, but I literally fell asleep for part of the multiple choice. But hey, Iā€™m not complaining.

US History - 5
For once, being an overconfident ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– helped me out.

Bio - 5
I have literally no idea what happened here, but I am ecstatic.

@Longhorn, exact same here man. I went to my teacher one day to go over some practice problems I did and we did a few and then she said ā€œoh donā€™t worry about it. I know youā€™ll do fineā€ and then I got a 3ā€¦she and the other Spanish teacher I had both expected a 5. And on top of that they gave me an award at graduation for being the best in the grade at Spanishā€¦Iā€™m ready for the email of disappointment

@jspeed12 Haha seriously itā€™s so frustrating cause I ended up getting above the grades I expected on my other two exams my junior year and then the one, single test I cared about and prepared for extensively I do worse? Really? When I next saw my Spanish teacher I just got this look of complete disappointment and I was too ashamed to talk to her lol. But itā€™s all good cause at least now I get to watch soccer in Spanish with the way more exciting announcers haha gotta cling to something positive!

^oh dang you saw your teacher afterwards? haha Iā€™m gonna try to stay as far away from mine as possible. This same teacher has a class of freshmen and my friendā€™s little sister is in that class and she said that the teacher talked a lot about how I was gonna do well on it. and I remember one day she told us she expected another one of her students to do well and he ended up getting a two and she went on a hardcore rant about how mad she was about itā€¦I donā€™t think she knows yet so I kinda wanna apologize ahead of time but Iā€™m scared. and yea all 5 years of spanish Iā€™v gotten high Aā€™s in the classes, 96 in AP and then what do I have to show for it? A 3 on the exam. To be fair, I donā€™t think anyoneā€™s gotten a 5 in 3 or 4 years but still kinda stingsā€¦you know how you did on it yet?

Princeton16, How do you manage to study for all these tests? Do you do them on our own and how many hours a week do you devote to studying just for APā€™s and with each exam costing about 87 bucks, it must be really expensive. I am really impressed with your scores, and would love to know how you did it.

BTW
8th grade Calc AB - 5
Freshman calc BC - 5
Bio - 5

Got a 5 in AP Human Geography!!!
I was worried that I might have gotten a 4.
No offense to anyone that failed, but I donā€™t see why Human Geography has such a huge failing rate.
Hopefully I can get 5ā€™s on:
AP Chemistry.
AP Biology.
AP U.S. History.
AP Computer Science A.

My scores this year:

AP English Language: 5
AP US Government: 5

Last year:
AP Calc AB: 1
AP English Lit: 3
AP Biology: 4

So I am very happy about my scores this year! :D
