Last year I took AP Spanish and AP Euro as a sophomore and recieved a 1 and 2 respectively. This year(my junior year) I was expecting the same result, but was pleasantly surprised to hear my scores:

AP Chemistry: 4

BC Calc: 4 (for some reason did not get my AB subscore on the phone;I assume it would have been a 4 or 5)

AP Lang: 3 (Even though no credit at the college Im interested, CU Boulder, I am happy I passed :))

So for all of the people who are looking at this forum with a large pit in your stomachs, THERE IS HOPE AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL! If you didn’t do it so hot on your first AP tests, don’t sweat it and stay in the AP track because you might just be pleasantly surprised about how maturity affects test score lolz :)

@Meenohead, Thank you. Even though my senior year scores weren’t quite as impressive, I know quite a bit about studying for the different exams. Of all the tests I’ve taken, I think all of them other AP languages are possible to self-study in like a month. Buy review books, not textbooks. If you’re looking for a 3 or 4, read one review book in detail once or twice and you’ll be set. If you want a 5, you need to get past exams. Online FRQs, the audit exam (which can often be found online if you look hard enough), and any released exams you can find. I can give you more specific advice about specific exams if you know which ones you plan to self study. But overall, anywhere from 5 to 7 hours a week for a month should do the trick if you’re effective (I did about 12 hours a week for one week for art history, and albeit I got a 4, it’s considered one of the hardest AP self studies).

AP Comparative Government- 5
AP Psychology- 5

I didn’t really think any of them were too difficult but they weren’t extremely easy either probably cause I didn’t study a whole lot. I only studied for like two days b4 each test but I’m happy nonetheless.

Calc AB: 5 (easiest)
Chem: 5 (oh man did I study my butt off for this test… over the course of two days)
Physics: 5 (thought I got a 2)
Lang: 5 (expected)
Micro: 4 (expected, but still disappointed)
Macro: 4 (swear I got a 5)

US government: 4
Statistics: 4, crazyyyyyy coz I was always bombing my practices tests but apparently I did really well. Thanks to my stats teacher!! :)
