I bet they do personalized emails. I think its all of our first choice. It’s a one-of-a-kind program. We’ll have to wait and see!

sigh just got the rejection email :(

As did I. Oh well!

sigh…just got a rejection email from Rice :(

@zenker11 and chemE222,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I have it on extremely good authority that the Northwestern chem eng dpt is done handing out acceptances. Visitation weekends start this weekend, and again next weekend.

@Majman

Ah well, thanks for the info!

Just got rejected from UMinn-Twin Cities… Didn’t really expect that.

Seems like a bad day for all of us… Well, God has his plans…

jparity:
Sorry for UMinn decisions. However, don’t breakdown. God has His better decisions for us!

These past couple days unfortunately seem like the beginning of the rejection period for a lot of schools

Any word on BioE programs from Stanford, Harvard, or Johns Hopkins? Are they still sending out invitations or on to rejections?

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Spoke with Stanford BioE and UCSD BioE and they basically said if you don’t get an interview by today expect a rejection. I haven’t heard from either

Thanks for the information.

Does anyone know if CU Boulder or NC State has sent out any acceptances for ChE Phd?

I was accepted to Colorado CBE earlier in the week. They accepted ~40 out of 450 applicants, but I’m not sure if they are done sending out notifications. Good luck! :)

Thanks thrivingivory! Out of curiosity, are you domestic or international?

Does anyone know if Berkeley ChBE (PhD) is finished accepting? Also, when will they be sending out rejections?

Domestic girl.

I’m not sure if Berkeley’s done, but I would not be surprised if they had sent out most of their acceptance letters already. I was accepted there in early January, and they asked you to respond about visiting by Jan 24.

holy cow! CU isn’t even in the top 10. this doesn’t look good!

I’m trying to schedule a Skype interview with one of the universities I’m interviewing at, and they seem pretty laid back about it. They’ve been telling me they’ll fix a date “very soon” for the last three weeks. Last week they told me I should get a date before Friday, and I still haven’t heard back.

Is this the general experience of people who interview via Skype/phone? Not sure what to make of it.

First time posting here…

Has anyone received an acceptance to UPenn’s Bioengineering PhD program? I’m a bit confused because I got the acceptance letter from SEAS, but the letter from the BE dept. states that funding will be determined after the visit.

does that mean that they don’t think everyone will get funding? anyone know what it was like in previous years?
