I am just curious as to what you all thought on missing the ND 2012 football season and studying abroad in London in the fall. I'm an engineer so that would be the only time to study abroad and I have heard awesome things about it, but can I really miss ND football home games as a student? As a student there are only four years to go and I don't know if I can miss a whole year of home games. What do you all think?

Maybe you would be able to make it to the “home” game in Ireland…

I am hoping that I would be able to. That in and of itself may make it completely worth it!

Having studied abroad, I recommend studying abroad. You have infinite years to watch ND football - Study Abroad is once in a lifetime experience.

Our student was in London last fall semester. Was also worried prior to arrival about missing the football games. While it wasn’t the same as being in the stadium, they still experienced the games. Many of the 120+ students congregated at the sports bars (along with many ND alumni living in London) to watch the games. Many memories were made during those late Saturday nights (time difference meant that games were Saturday night events). No regrets on the experience across the pond. Go for it!

I don’t know what you decided to do, but if you studied abroad, it looks like you made a big mistake! ND is going to the national championship haha

LOL. How true.

If BK has his way, this won’t be the only year ND heads to the NC game ;)
