** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

UC GPA: 3.74
Major Pre-reqs Completed: Missing Foreign Language and Two Other PreReqs
Intended Major: English Lit
TAG?: No
IGETC?: Completed by Spring 2012
School: Marshall

I am quite surprised. Of the five colleges I’ve applied to, UCSD was the most unlikely. I didn’t tag, won’t be able to have two prereqs and a language completed by spring 2012, and had irrelevant extracurriculars. I got REALLY lucky!! Good luck to you all ( :

Yeeyuhhhh :D

Decision: ACCEPTED

UC GPA: 3.86
Major Pre-reqs Completed: Finishing 2 pre-reqs this semester (Differential Eqs & Discrete Structures)
Intended Major: Cognitive Science
College: Muir
TAG?: Yes
IGETC?: Completed
School Type: 1st semester @ OOS. 2nd, 3rd, 4th @ CCC
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: TAG

UCSD baby!!!
GPA: 4.0 (One year transfer)
TAG: No
Major: Econ
Pre-reqs: Done by Spring (MV Calc, Macro left)
College: Muir

Any engineering majors get accepted yet?

Damn wasn’t in the first batch even with TAG :/

I’m a UC Intercampus transfer and I’m still pending. I have a 3.8ish with all prereqs done, so probably there are no intercampus people in this batch

Congrats guys!

And @Hellolily:

Q: Can I change the college I was admitted to?
A: Generally, no. Each college has a certain number of spaces for transfer students. Unlike most universities, your college is not determined by your major. This gives you a unique opportunity to meet a wider range of people. Since most of your general education requirements will have been completed by the time you arrive on campus, you can take advantage of your college’s commuter programs for transfer students.
Newly admitted transfer students may request a change of college; however, we may not be able to accommodate college changes due to capacity limitations. Submit your request with an explanation for the change to: collegechange@ad.ucsd.edu

Is UCSD releasing them everyday, certain time, or just once a week?

Ok thanks for the info jdom

changed my browser and bang!

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, San Diego – congratulations on your admission to Eleanor Roosevelt College as a major in Economics! Your admission offer begins with the Fall 2012 term.

ACCEPTED

GPA: 4.0
Major: Econ
TAG: No
College: Eleanor Roosevelt College
IGETC: will be done by end of spring
Major: i dont even know how much major courses left since i only focused on UCB and UCLA

anyway… grats all :)

Y’all submit your housing app or w/e? I don’t think I’ll be going to SD but it’s one less thing to worry about if I do end up going there.

I’m an intercampus transfer from UCR. 4.0 Econ, just got accetped!!!

I tried to look at my Preliminary Financial Aid package and it said they haven’t received my FAFSA which is worrisome because I submitted my FAFSA early January and then corrected it on March 2nd. I’m just worried that I won’t be considered priority. The UCI portal says they received my FAFSA on time. Eeek.

Anyone else able to view their fin aid?

Big congrats strive101. That’s awesome!

Did ucsd become more selective this year???
i didnt get into Warren or Muir which is my first and second choice with a 3.897.
Major in Math&Econ

I had a TAG until I got a B in one of my classes which turned my gpa into a 3.46 (3.5 for tag) I talked to a UCSD rep who said that this year they were really looking into the whole “super close to having a TAG but just missed it” and those that were close would probably receive an admission…idk just thought I would share…mine is still pending…

How many PoliSci majors are finding out??

@strive101 ah damn, so there are intercampus admits today. Well hopefully not being in the first wave doesn’t mean rejection

Just found out for me.
UC GPA: 3.66
TAG: YES
Major:Political Science/International Relations
College: Eleanor Roosevelt

wait, i just got really confused. On assist are the courses listed only undergrad requirements without including upper division courses? Or does it list all the courses for your major, like once you complete them all you can graduate?
