Just finished reconstruction, lol.

Using the American Pageant book, its really wordy, gets to be boring.

Wow you guys are so ahead. My class is still on the Gilded age. DBQ tomorrow, fun stuff. What is everyone planning to do to prepare for the AP besides the school work? Like reading through AMSCO before the test, etc.?
Has anyone’s teachers taken a stab at what the essay topic might be this year?

Teacher’s wife is having a baby and well the sub…ehhhh

Where is the best place to get questions to practice APUSH multiple choice? Do you guys have any idea? :X

We are starting progressivism. The other teacher at my school is about eight chapters ahead, and plans to have the course completed by spring break. Needless to say, her students are stressed.

I’m going to read the Essential Content by Larry Krieger a couple of times before the test. I find APUSH easier than AP World, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

@Awflapjackz, How did you do in AP world exam?

@shmluza I got a 4

That is great! but you may be able to get a 5 in APUSH, do you think? I really hope so. but there is so much to study. We just finished chapter 24. We’re so behind.

@shmluza Thanks, hopefully so! I’m hoping for a 5. I feel more comfortable with US History because I’ve had it before in junior high and elementary. I recommend buying The Essential Content by Larry Krieger. It is a great study tool, and useful if you also want to take the subject test. And we have 28 and 29 to do over break. You’re not that far behind

Got highest grade in my grade on my APUSH mid term. My teacher said if grading it then I’d get a 99 or a 5

@awflapjackz: same! Got a 4 on AP world, but feel much better with APUS. Aiming for a 5. Thanks for the review book suggestion!

My class is only on ch 20 though (assigned for break), so we’ll see how getting through the material goes. I feel so behind when I see where you guys are. Ughhh only 3 more months. We got this.

We’re currently right after WWI.

But we have this big month-long paper coming up, which will make us go slow down a little.

We’re nearly finished, right now were at Truman’s presidency. I think our class only has 2 tests left, then its full on AP prep mode

Thinking it might be time to study for APUSH. Got a couple of review books, but I also just found this great app in iTunes called Brainscape ap us history exam prep. It has a lot of cards and I was even able to get some studying in on my bus. I think they have apps for other ap classes too, but I’m only taking this one right now.

Just finished Roosevelt v. Hoover (chapter 33 or so in Pageant).

WWII begins and this Friday was our teachers first day back since my last post WAY UP there (Feb 12)

I have about 60 days to cram all of the material from the very beginning. I’m using The Essential Content. I only need to get a 4 to get credit at the university I’m going to this Fall.

I learned about the Spanish conquest of the Americas yesterday and I am learning about the English colonization of the New World today.

Hey guys!
What’s your advice on how to format this essay?
Practice FRQ. Time period is pre-WWI.
It’s asking how social and economic issues, reparations and political ideology impacted US foreign policy.

^ Talk about TR and Taft and imperialism. Just name drop like crazy.

Does anyone seem that it is strange that this class takes longer than other APs. The AP test is on a Wednesday and we will be taking our last chapter test on the previous Friday and Monday right before. However in the AP calc we finish up next week (same with Chem). Just wondering if anyone else finds this interesting.

Omg. Has anybody started stuying for the up coming APUSH test? I’m so nervous! If anybody has any links to online study guides please pm me and tell me!
