For those of you who applied at GSK/Sloan-Kettering, when you click to view your application, does it still appear as the preview or snapshots from the online application form (with all the boxes etc)?

Mine shifted from preview to snapshots today
Has anyone noticed this?
Does it mean anything?

My first interview offer at UMich-Ann Arbor PIBS (Immunology) 4 hours ago. AHHHHHHHH!!! I’ve been on edge these past few days. Everytime I enter the login information into gmail, my hands start to tremble. My evil plan of entering graduate school and conducting research at a measily salary for the rest of my life is coming together nicely… evil laugh…

I don’t think I’ve seen any applicants for Cornell that is not the Weill program, but the Cornell BMCB (not Weill!) program is interviewing February 7-10 and 21- 24. It’s my first interview offer (via e-mail), so I won’t be sleeping tonight!

I actually go to UIUC not UIC. UIC didn’t ask for a transcript, yet my own school is asking for one. The difference is that UIC is using the program our transcripts are located on, where as UIUC used that program for undergrad application, but for graduate school they have a different program. I still might ask UIC what is up, just to make sure.

And I will contact Iowa after my final this weekend. Has anyone heard anything of their Immunology program vs Microbiology program?

For people talking about Fall transcripts, a lot of my programs said that I can send them the unofficial transcript once I get it, and they will add it to my file. Can’t hurt to ask them, especially if you have a lower GPA like me and this semesters grades will boost it, or a school like UIUC which only looks at your last 60 credits.

While doing some reading, I came across some interesting sites. Thought I would share. Would be interested in this kind of data for other schools/programs.

@greekbio, my GSK application is like that now too. I assume it doesn’t mean anything. But looking at last year’s bioscience thread and gradcafe, looks like they sent out the biggest batch of interview requests friday of this coming week… going to need to find a LOT of ways to keep myself distracted over the next few days.

Good luck to everyone who’ve received interview invites so far. Still waiting here…

Quick question:

Is it going to be a huge detriment to my application if I upload an official set of transcripts from a school instead of unofficial ones (like they state)? The unofficial ones for one of my two schools can only be faxed out to me and always come in unreadable, especially if I were to go ahead and scan and upload them.

My guess is that that would be fine. You can call if you are worried, but I only uploaded a scan of the official copy. Since its coming from you and not the school its already somewhat “unofficial.”

I am also in philly, and I used to plan to apply for that Cornell Welli, but give up finally due to the same reason as you. you may take a look at of other institutions.

A transcript you upload would become an unofficial one, just by simply uploading it (no raised seal or watermarks would be valid after the scanning process). I uploaded official ones from my school, but since the document security features are lost in the process, they’re no longer “official.”
