2013 - UCLA - Checking Status w/ URSA

So for the freshmen decisions, I saw that many of the accepted ones were able to see their financial aid on URSA.

The two websites that seemed to be accurate when it comes to leaked info is URSA. Here is a step-by-step to access these sites.

Step 1:
Create a new UCLA logon:
https://www.ursa.ucla.edu/Default.asp

Step 2:
Select new UCLA student

Step 3:
Use your UCLA Application ID Obtained From Here

https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/decision/Login.aspx

Your login will now allow you to access URSA, financial aid summary, financial aid document tracking.

Please post whether or not you see your financial aid summary. It should look something like this.

http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/9499/status1k.png

Financial Aid Status: Able to see summary.

Include your major and gpa as well please.

4.0, Anthropology, Regents Invite
Can’t see anything 4/12/13

3.9xx
Civil Engineering
All Pre-reqs completed
Able to see summary as of 4/12/2013

not able to see.

I will come back and confirm this myth if I am accepted to UCLA.

@Heatzz, do you have all your prerequisite courses finished?

GPA 3.7
Major PoliSci
This is what it shows me for financial aid summary http://i.imgur.com/4sX40rC.png

I submitted a FAFSA way before the deadline, but I my parents have only just filled their taxes and I only just updated the FAFSA a couple of days ago, so UCLA says that they don’t have it on file.

I’m not sure if that’s because the DoE hasn’t given the updated version yet, If I missed some deadline to update it and don’t qualify for financial aid, or if I’m going to be rejected.

Major: History
GPA: 3.91
All pre-reqs and IGETC completed

Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.93
Mine says “you do not have a financial aid summary for this award period”
Oh and my FAFSA was late…

I have heard that engineering students can see the “tricks” many days before other applicants. I imagine the sheer volume of Letters and Science applicants has something to do with this

3.89 Psychobiology
My summary/awards says “You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period” just like cgz544’s screenshot. I didn’t submit a FAFSA btw.

For those of you saying that you “can’t see anything,” a little more description about what that means would be helpful, thanks.

@HokumPeddler I see the same message, I think we’re looking too soon

I’m getting the same message but it might be too early. We’re still one or two weeks out.

Has anyone tried the appeal route? It works for Davis

Psych
4.0
All pre requisites will be finished by this semester

Major: Mechanical Engineering
GPA: 3.98
All prerequisites done! (For UCLA is my #1 choice!)
Able to see summary.

Sorry I have to remove my picture because it has my email lol

The only reason why my status is incomplete is just like other schools. I need to send them proof of my citizenship.

The appeal route doesn’t work for UCLA.

@almalex5 Thanks. Wanted to compare as I didn’t submit a FAFSA, and I’m not expecting to get the same results as everyone else. Wondering if mine would change to a summary either way.

This was a good thread. It looks like we narrowed it down that engineering applicants are only seeing changes right now.

@HopingToXfer First off congratulations, it really looks like your in. Second, yeah I finished all GE’s and all Pre-Reqs.

We’ve got two engineering majors who can see it thus far. Sounds like Almalex5 might be right

^ Three engineering majors! Another member named sarah was also able to view her financial aid.

Is there any engineering major that could not see the summary?

Thanks Heatz

hey ya go, 101 pages to keep you entertained from our crazyness last year on URSA
