UCLA--Get your admission early.

Okay so dont get mad at me if this isnt true, but based off all the forums here last year, most people were able to see their financial aid offer before the actual date of the decision. Some people saw it a coupple weeks before and most people saw it as the admission was about to come out. Its worth a try to set up an account, but it could easily cause more stress because if you dont see it you might think you are rejected. Do what you will with the information.

Here is information from a post last year on how to do it.

"So when UCLA Freshman decisions came out, a lot of them noticed the SIR and Financial decisions were up on URSA early. It seemed like this was happening last year also for Transfer students. I wasn't around last year at this time and it seems like UCLAri was purging all the "trick" threads people posted on the transfer forums.

The two websites that seemed to be accurate when it comes to leaked info is URSA/myUCLA. Here is a step-by-step to access these sites.

Step 1:
Create a new UCLA logon:
https://www.ursa.ucla.edu/Default.asp

Step 2:
Select new UCLA student

Step 3:
Use your UC Application ID

Your login will now allow you to access URSA, myFAO, and myUCLA. Please understand that it will probably be about another month before ANYTHING changes on these sites for transfer students, relax and don't nearly have a heart attack like missyujin.

I am hoping that we can be orderly this year around the time UCLA decisions for transfer students are released. ( lol, it will probably bedlam again this year. )

One last thing, if any forum posters from last year would like to chime in when SIRs and Financial Aid Summaries started showing up for transfer students, that would be appreciated."

no ucla trick threads!!

Not indicative of anything. Saw everything last year and was denied. Several other people saw nothing and were accepted. Although, a majority of people who saw it were admitted.

seriously? didn’t you see at the top of the forum “NO more ucla trick threads”.

^seriously???

no one cares.

doesn’t mean anything until you see the SIR and even then it only showed up like 20 minutes before the actual decisions.

Last year I saw the stuff and I was accepted. A majority of those who saw their financial aid package were accepted. However, some didn’t see anything at all and were accepted.

Whoever decides to go through with it, make sure you pick a screen name or a log in that you would want to have also as your ucla email address. I say this because your log in will eventually become your ucla email address if you decide to attend. So for your own benefit, especially if you plan to use your ucla email address as a professional email(for apply to jobs/internships/etc) don’t get something like CrZyKidXXx

LMAO @ CrZyKidXXx

^^lol 10char

Just signed up and got a bunch of dead links. Hopefully they will update it with info. in the coming weeks like the OP said.

If you do sign up and end up getting accepted your sign in name WILL BE YOUR UCLA EMAIL. SO be smart and pick something professional.

^ Second that, I went with CrZyKidXXx

JC1029 - They will let you use an alias when you actually become a bruin but that will always be your UCLA login.

SimonPhase - I was just kidding (Check out post 7, 8 and 9)

:)

TommyTrojan@ucla.edu ftw. HAHAHAHAHAH
