is it the view work-study, or the Bruin-view search for jobs? What should it say?

I get the “Invalid Student ID.”

I got that housing message too! Ah so many people getting these indicators, I hope they’re real indicators…and that we’re just a group of highly motivated people that are all likely to get admitted!

@ttavakol

I think it’s our little group, mostly everyone here has great stats (I can’t speak for the posters that only have like 5 posts), I doubt the trick will backfire from last year. I’m not saying I got in, but I’m still dreaming of the possibility.

I can see my summary buuuuuut I just made a myUCLA account by using the summer session enrollment on URSA and my banner doesn’t say my major. Is there a waiting period before it will say my major?

See comment #555 (one page back, on the bottom) and # 558 (on this page). Keep it up, and you’ll be ignored.

It’d be more polite if you’d actually ignored me…

@ anaval

No, it wouldn’t; it would be far more polite if you paid attention.

It’s a msg board - paying close, detailed attention is not usually associated with this form of communication

Not answering any more questions. Decisions is in two days.

@ HopingToXfer, I agree, but I will compare notes with URSA and MyUCLA, LOL :)

I couldn’t find the thread explaining how to do the summer trick so I just played with it to see what would happen. I attempted to submit a summer registration form twice, indicating that I will be a uc student as of fall 2013, but I still could not access myUCLA. Then I realized the summer trick is done thru ursa, so I did that and I gained access to myUCLA. Now when I log into ursa and click degree progress report it says this under major: SUMMER SESSIONS-UNDERGRADUATE/ SPECIAL PROGRAMS NON-DEGREE. Does this mean my major wont show up on myucla? (Sorry for the lengthy question)

@johnd54 Mine doesn’t have a major yet either but I just created it. I think there may be a waiting period before it updates

Ive has ursa and my ucla completed for a while and when i check the same thing i see the same thing you are seeing…no major specified. yesterday i saw my major under my ucla banner

@UCdrone that’s what I’m thinking! Yes these tricks are keeping the hope alive just HOPING they dont get crushed >.< few more days and its finally over

@ ttavakol

I keep logging back in to see if my major repopulates, how about you?

@anaval @lenardizag thank your for your input!

alright look: if you just created an ursa and did the summer trick, it will only say summer session for either 24 hours or until the system updates at 3 am. at this point, don’t worry about it, its almost friday.

here are the good signs:
(1) Major on MyUCLA banner OR completely blank. (it first shows major, but then goes blank, if you have either your fine)

(2) Financial aid summary telling you your contribution. It doesn’t matter whether it says your award or not.

(3) housing status. the good message is “application unavailable”.

and if you dont have any of these signs and you have had your ursa + summer trick done for 24 hours and properly created it, there is a 95% chance your either denied or your decision is delayed.

I don’t know if it means anything, but my UCLA Financial Aid summary now lists no award but lists my costs and expected contribution - it didn’t do that just two days ago. I am a Linguistics and French major.

@Valicore, thats what you want, and what we all see

If you’re going to be rejected, it won’t say anything, just that it’s unavailable or something.
