2014 and earlier: When is the latest you submitted your apps?

This morning, I woke up and saw that Wake Forest and a few other schools had extended their deadlines to January 15th (originally January 1st). Out of curiosity, I searched for late applications on these forums and found a few references to submissions past the deadline, these two in particular.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/1063092-consequence-hour-late-common-app-princeton.html?highlight=late+app%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/1063092-consequence-hour-late-common-app-princeton.html?highlight=late+app</a></p>

Current college students: Were any of you accepted to good schools despite submitting your applications late? If so, how late were you, and what did you think of your application's quality? I've heard of two- and three-hour grace periods, but I'm most interested in the days-late apps, if there are any.

Just wanted to say (Sort of on topic):

Dear colleges,

I’ve already applied to your school! Stop spamming me with those damn emails encouraging me to apply and telling me about your wonderful opportunities. I’ve already done my research and visited your school; I’m not going to get any better insight with an email. And, like I said, I’ve already applied. There’s no need to extend my deadline.

Sincerely,
A college applicant

Ismailcc, where did you see that Wake Forest extended their deadline?

T26E4: I can understand why all the questions can be frustrating, but please know that I’m not asking because I’m worried about my app status. I’ve talked to plenty of current college students who submitted a few minutes after the deadline and fared just fine. What I’m curious about is the people who were say, two days late. I’m interested in knowing whether different schools draw a concrete line and whether it’s been crossed.

wfva1013: I’m not sure as to the number of people who received this, as it seems I’ve received a lot of invitations that my friends haven’t over the past few months, but this is the e-mail I got this morning.
