I’m going to assume statuses will officially be announced without any system errors on Monday along with some UCSB decisions… I did not want to get paranoid over the weekend so I chose not to check the portal or this thread until tonight haha. Right now the site seems to be down. Hopefully it’s not like this for the next batch.

Well, let’s hope April gets here soon before we all grow grey hair.

me too @matt4200 but at the top above the jumbled mess it says finances, when I click on that it sends me to a page where I’m logged in and it says “current students” and “my triton link” I wonder if thats a sign.

Yeah from the freshman thread I cam to conclude that the tb test doesn’t really mean anything and neither does the housing. Guess we will just have to wait

Settle down guys. Especially @Mik194, When your admissions status changes, you will receive an email. No matter how many times you try the trick threads or stalk the page, either you were accepted or rejected.

Lol trust me, the freshmans got up to 100 pages just talking about it. Just wanted to let everyone know there are really no tricks. I am calm. @WhiteTshirt

okay so i was looking through the admissions of fall 2013 and i noticed that alot if not all of the biology majors who were missing a prereqs got denied. even someone with a 3.90 GPA but was missing pre-reqs.
i mistakenly applied as a biology major specializing in biochem and cell biology, when what i meant to apply for was a chemistry major specializing in biochem. its obviously too late to alert them of this and hope they consider me for this major instead of the one i applied for.
im worried becuase i am missing one pre-req for the above bio major, whereas i have all the prereqs for the chem major and have ~3.7-3.8 GPA. the problem is a cant take the pre-req im missing becuase i will be considered to have excess units and wont be considered for admission at all.
Do you guys still think i have a shot at UCSD even with one missed pre-req??

@Bookham I honestly don’t know, but if what you’re saying is correct about last year and you get rejected you can always appeal and say you put the wrong major. They will hopefully then reconsider seeing as you have a pretty high gpa and have all your pre-reqs done.

My housing now says “The housing application will become available in late-March. Please check back. If you would like to learn more about housing at UCSD, please use the links in the Housing menu above.”

^^my housing message is the same. from twitter, looks like the freshman started getting emails this morning. and the admissions site seems to be running smoothly after all of yesterday’s chaos. wonder when we’ll start getting emails.

@redgadget3
Freshmen didn’t get emails. Only specific freshmen who were chosen for a specific overnight program received emails because they need to RSVP to that by the 20th.

Most freshmen haven’t heard back and are in the same boat as we are.

Oh my goodness everyone. The housing means nothing. Its a myth.

And it especially doesn’t mean anything for transfers since our decisions are released in batches and most of our decisions haven’t even been decided on yet.

hrmmmmmm. hopefully by tomorrow we all start to get emails then. it really sucks being in this strange limbo between yesterday’s happenings and now just not knowing exactly what to expect

So legends say that if you find King Triton in the deep ocean blue sea, he will automatically grant you admissions to UCSD no questions asked. Literally, no questions asked even if you’re a 1.9 student… XD.

On a real note, since the actual staffmembers who work for admissions will be working tomorrow, maybe they will hustle on and get those decisions posted!
