“BUT I LOVED THE PART WHEN YALL WERE ALL LOVING. and defended this thread. GOD THAT WAS SO SWEET.”

wait…where was this? what post number? did someone dare to attack our thread?!

YES! We were infiltrated lol. By ChoklitRain on the bottom of page 80-ish to page 81.
Superrr sweet :D

Hi guys - I’ve decided to join in this thread, mostly coz I saw that Demiitasse is from Guilford, CT, which is named after my local town. That sounded like a far more impressive coincidence in my head…

THERE YOU ARE!!! So you have definitely decided for SCEA then. YAY <3

Sorry rocker, you’re not the only boy anymore ;)

Yeah. Well, sort of. ****, I don’t know.

Psh. I think deep down you know you want to or else you wouldn’t have posted here. The Yalie within you is surfacing subconsciously.

Just for the record, that’s wrt. SCEA, not gender.

Yale rocks, I’m just not sure how I’m most likely to get in… maybe clerical error.

me! I’m applying early :D

Hey Stupefy! Is your name a Harry Potter reference or just the word? (sorry if that’s a stupid question, I’m excited about HP lately cos I just started reading the books)

Rors - Clerical error my ass.

If anyone hadn’t noticed yet, I <3 Rorschachman, we became friends through the internationals forums. He’s JUST like me. But male.

Oh man, gender competition. This’ll be interesting.

Just like you? Like, didn’t-go-to-college-for-a-few-years-and-recorded-some-sick-music-and-is-now-going-to-college, like you?

More like didn’t-go-to-college-for-a-few-years-and-developed-phd-level-knowledge-of-Harry-potter-and-is-now-going-to-college.

and Jo - cheers (in a fake cockney accent, naturally)

YAY Rorschachman, welcome! Haha I’m glad I was further encouragement for you to join in :]

YAYYYYY FOR ALL THE NEWCOMERS!

THIS IS SO EXCITING.

makes my already happy day even happier. who knew it was possible.

SO GLAD you guys decided to join in our Yale fun. even though more than half of this thread is totally not about Yale. But still. fun stuff. promise.

portugueseninja–I DEFINITELY thought harry potter when i saw stupefy. =] like someone today said something about herbs and i thought i heard herbology and i was like…HERBOLOGY? LIKE IN HARRY POTTER? WHERE? SO COOL!" and everyone just cracked up. ohhhh so many harry potter references. in fact, a problem in our statistics book involved harry potter. and i’m pretty sure i was the only person that was like “OMG MY STATISTICS BOOK MENTIONED HARRY POTTER”. yeah, nobody else cared. i thought it was cool?

If one of my textbooks mentioned harry potter, it would definitely be a highlight of the year. That’s majorly exciting! And I’m with you, I see hp references everywhere! But I’ve learned not to mention them because people make fun
(I think they’re just jealous)

LOL? Guys, that’s so sad. My school is rampant with Harry Potter fanatics to the point where some people are readily familiar with about 30+ of the spells and can recite them on command. So you guys would find solace in that environment I think.

What did you guys think of the new movie? I personally was woefully disappointed by it and I thought the only redeeming quality of the WHOLE film was Rupert Grint’s superb facial expressions and general sense throughout the film

No spoilers please, still haven’t seen it and only up to Order of the Phoenix in the books ;)

Okay I will try not to spoil, but you might not want to read this anyway

I almost fell asleep the first time I saw it. Granted it ended at 2:30 in the morning, but NOTHING HAPPENED! There was like 0 action. I did like the humor in it though, but it was about the only plus. The second time it was better because I had already made peace with the fact that it destroyed the book (not really but I read the book right before I saw the movie - stupid move) and I enjoyed the humor even more. But that random scene with the burrow in the middle - ***?! That still bothers me more than anything else. In general though, it was a let down. My sister and I both thought the trailers were better than the actual movie. And the 5th movie is better by far.
