So, not good news if we are COLA or UGS and we are on the bubble (~3.5) and haven’t heard back?

Looks bleak- I am on the bubble and applied to COLA and haven’t heard anything. But I also applied to Anthropology as Adanderousthing did; hopefully they haven’t got to that department? Wishful thinking?

Jdouglas, I got in today with a 4.0, I think my buddy got in today with a 3.9.

A couple of admission officers at UT told me anything above 3.5 is good for admittance to UGS. However, I think UGS is becoming a very competitive school because so many people xternal xfer into the school and then internal xfer out.

I haven’t heard anything back either and I applied for International Relations… So nerve wrecking :/

Every person I’ve met at ACC is transferring into UGS and internal transferring throughout the school.

CutieAmber I applied to IR too what are your stats

Ridiik - I am at ACC now. I chose UGS as my second choice.

Hey guys,

I applied to COLA and my application is still under review. Seeing as how a number of you have already received your decisions, is it necessarily a bad thing that I haven’t received mine yet? Or does it just mean that I’m in that ‘maybe’ pile and it’s still up in the air?

Greenman, don’t give up hope, I’m sure they can’t send out every decision to every student in one school in one day. However, I will tell you that when my wife applied to her masters program she had a friend that turned down her admission application which freed up a spot for another person.

CutieAmber I applied to IR too and my application is still in review. what are your stats

I got accepted today (3.76 GPA, COLA English, already had AA). It’s my birthday too, so pretty good timing!

Lavandemalick: Ill have a 3.41 at ACC after this semester, 3 excellent essays, 3 page resume with a lot of community service hours, leadership positions and job experience.

I haven’t seen anyone get denied yet… i guess their just accepting people with high gpa’s?

I guess so but I dont think they got as much applicants as UGS or Government . I havent seen any other Ir applicant in the thread except for the two of us. Lets just wait and see what happens.

Cutie:

I’m guessing that we have not seen anyone get denied yet because no one is going to immediately post about how they got rejected (well I know I wouldn’t anyway).

Well also I don’t think they reject anyone right off the bat, they fill spaces from highest to lowest gpa and see how many spots are left over from there. Then they start rejecting people.
At least, that’s how I think they operate.

Alright guys… No word yet from nursing, I’m in panic mode because I changed my major during my review worst part it just made my second (UGS) my first, taking away nursing and putting biology entry level. I’ve changed it back on the EID website, and I’ve called, emailed, faxed, and it still has not been changed… What do I do? I’ve taken all the pre-reqs for nursing, all my essays had something to do with nursing.!.!.!. Agh! I’m just in total freak out mode.

On a lighter note, SO PROUD OF YALL!!! CONGRATS!

Any nursing Majors?!

Sekrim, could I bother you to private message me (my post count is too low)? I have a UTD specific question!

utnurse2b im freaking out as well! My first major is nursing as well, second major was UGS and my application is still under review which is unsettling since we heard how impossible it is to get into the Nursing School… since I didnt get an acceptance from UGS im guessing I won’t get one and…well you know how hard the the school of nursing is… =(

Congrats to all that have been been admitted!!! Thats BEYOND exciting!!! =)
