2014 Spring Transfer Thread

congrats turtle what r your stats?

Congrats! And I’m still under review :/

My stats are prob different from you guys. I’m actually an international freshmen but I’ll post them anyways. My gpa is 3.60, 2 strong essays, TOEFL score of 112, SAT score of 1860, 2 good essays, lots of hours in community service as well as internships, and 0 transferable credit hours.

i am still under review as well… COLA- Undeclared

Still under review, COLA - Anthropology, CNS - Biology

Under review COLA anthro

Ugh. Killing me.

Hey guys. I just got back from the admissions office. They’re now saying mid-December -_-. Woopee! More waiting. She also made it very clear that making other plans is important, especially for those who have a GPA below 3.6 (like me). She also said that most rejections will go out the week of December 2nd.

Ah, the UT campus is so beautiful. I just walked all over campus pretending to be a student. It felt kind of nice, lol.

Don’t lose hope guys! I’m sure y’all can make it!

Mid-December?

Ugh that is ridiculous.

The last date to accept Texas A&M’s admission offer is Dec 15th… I really hope I get UT’s decision before that. This is getting really (and I mean REALLY) annoying. Why do they have to do CNS last :/

Doesn’t seem like it is exclusive to CNS. Plenty of others trying to get into other schools haven’t got a decision yet either.

Has anyone been accepted to CNS yet?

I ended up scheduling orientation at Texas State incase I don’t get in to UT… I’ll still have that option open. Orientation isn’t until January 8th so if I get accepted to UT between now and then I can just cancel the orientation. I just wish they’d hurry up so I knew what plan of action I need to take! :(

It should be a state law that they have to give their decisions by December 1st. It is literally life altering decisions and the fact that they can give them without enough preparation time is beyond ridiculous. If they can’t handle getting it done by then, then they clearly need to hire more people to mow through them.

yaaay got admitted!!! is it too late to apply for fin aid?

@Lavandemalick
Congrats! Can you write your stats and major down?
And I think your financial aid should just transfer from your current school to UT. But I’m not sure.

I guess they rolled out decisions mostly for international applicants today. Someone earlier got accepted too as international transfer.

Lavandemalick: You need to go in and edit your FAFSA to add a school and include sending the report to UT.

okay thanks… my issue is the deadline has passed it was october 10 I didnt sent my stuffs cuz i wasnt sure i will be admitted

@lavandemalick do you know roughly when you were admitted? If it was last night or this morning?
