I submitted an essay for the Anthem contest. I emailed Ayn Rand Institute and asked about when we would get results and they said they would send email and/or snail mail by today (7/28/2016). I am wondering if anyone has received and email and how everyone on CC did in the competition.
Hahaha I was searching for this forum for a long time, as I was also curious about how other people did and when people received an email. I searched in my junk mail and it turned out that the email was there. I got semi-finalist out of more than 14,000 people which is pretty good! I received the mail at around 10 AM.
If you’re looking for an email, I recommend that you search in your spam mail because that was the case for me. I’m not sure if they’re only sending emails to the winners or the participants. Good luck and I hope that you succeeded in this contest!
Unfortunately, succeeding in an Ayn Rand essay contest might not be worth advertising on a college application (half joking). I am impressed that 14,000 people participated. There might be hope yet.
I did not win a scholarship, but I thoroughly enjoyed the novel and look forward to reading and participating next year. Congragulations to all particpants and people keep sharing their results!
If you can find it, read her opinion pieces for the LA Times back in the 60’s. She was prescient (and assertively forgotten) in regard to her predictions about healthcare among other issues.

Really? Maybe I’m wrong, but in my email, it said that they collect more than 14,000 entries from more than 100 countries for the contest. Maybe they’re referring to all the contests, but its still strange because Anthem is the most popular one and they also said contest (as in singular).
Oh oops! I entered Fountainhead. I misread your initial post. Woah that’s a big gap between Anthem and Fountainhead!
So I JUST found out that I’m a finalist for Fountainhead…a month later…cause the email went to my spam
