I got denied too because I’m not local 
Did not expect it at all!
My GPA is 3.9 and I’m a Computer Science major from Miramar.
Even SDSU denied my application and I have no idea why :’(

@jsxskydive That is so odd that SDSU denied your admission, aren’t you in their local area? With a 3.9 gpa you should have been admitted. Sorry to hear that.
I got admitted today!!! I called them and asked them why they had denied admission saying that I was not local and they said it was a mistake from their system, so they checked my application once again and offered me admission! Do you guys know by when should I know about Financial Aid?

@JezRey15 congrats!! The financial aid letter comes a day or so after your admission.
@cooptwo5 Thank you and Yes I called admissions. I was admitted yesterday and I received the email until today. If you really want to attend CSU San Marcos and you are going to continue in a community college you should take a class or even an online class at Palomar or Mira Costa, that’s how I got accepted. They look at your last institution attended in order to consider you local or non local. Good luck
