Sorry for asking… But has anyone else NOT gotten their ID when logging to logon.ucla? It just seems impossible that most of people who posted here got admitted because they got an ID. I can speak for myself, I got one but my stats are quite lower than average UCLA students.

I did see his major somewhere on that page yesterday but I can’t remember where but I don not see it there today. Bus Econ major

It redirects me and then logs me out.

I think we should all get into a huge bus and drive on down to UCLA and demand an explanation for the mysterious 9 digit code.

BTW, when creating your login ID account, it says this on the third page of the process:

You must have your 9-digit UCLA Identification Number to continue. You can find this number:

On your online or paper letter of admission (new students, waitlisted applicants)
On your BruinCard (current students, alumni, faculty, staff)
On your UCLA transcript (current students, alumni)
On your paycheck stub or online earnings statement (faculty, staff)

Newly admitted students
If you do not know your 9-digit UCLA ID number, use your 7-digit Application ID Number in its place.

Hi I created a login id for my dd the other day. It is not a 9 digit number, I used letters to create it. Where are you getting the 9-digit number from? Did you have ucla create your log in ID? Please advise. Thank you for your help.

dck, go to my first post on page 1. It will tell you.

@dadcollegekid

We signed up with the 7-digit application id number.

Thanks, I did go to the first page and followed your post. Thanks by the way. When I went there, I went ahead and created a UCLA logon ID. I never saw any numbers other than her application ID which is 7 numbers. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

If you go to https://logon.ucla.edu, you can log in with her ID (as in, the new one you just made that’s probably her name or something) and password and you’ll see her UCLA ID.

Oops, forgot to mention that you want to go to the “Manage UCLA Logon ID” section.

They do 5pm because that’s when the Murphy Admissions office closes. Probably so that don’t have to answer a thousand phone calls about admissions decisions.

Repeating the message of post #22. We created an account on 1/24/2012. We’ve been able to do everything in URSA etc. that you all are discovering with your new accounts since then. This was BEFORE any admissions decisions were made. I wish all this hoping about account numbers was true (we certainly would like it to be true), but our situation I think is the evidence that it is not.

dck, after you login, click on “Manage UCLA Logon ID”. Then, you should see a 9 digit number if it was assigned.

@rwscpa and aninstance, I just followed your directions with her logon id which is her name and password and just get the bruins page and stuff, but no 9 digit ID. Uh oh, what will happen when she logs in to see if she is rejected or accepted?

@halflokum Thanks for reminding us! It’s definitely a bit misleading that all of us can make accounts. I don’t think the numbers help either… I happen to be a current student with *04 lol

@dadcollegekid The bruins page? After you log in at (Services), you should get something that looks like (real information where the dashes are, of course):

Personal Information - Log Out
UCLA Logon: ----
Name: ----
UCLA ID Number: ----
Affiliations: none

tonight, will they send emails just to those who got accepted to check their portal or to everybody that applied? I know that ucsd (didnt get in) they didnt send me an email but uc riverside did and pepperdine

Stop it ppl… Ahhh

@aninstance…I went to the site and got this: UCLA logon: the id I created a few days ago
Name: Her name
officieal email: with her email address
Affiliation: none
Bruin on line support service: UCLA log on

That’s it. No 9 digit number. Probably means a rejection?

Thanks for all your help.

Did you guys sign up for the UCLA ID using your UC app ID ?
Cos how come everyone here got an ID ?

@carotene…yeah i used my UC id and was able to login and saw my 9 digit number…

@dadcollegekid. You are not in the right screen. There is no email or address on the screen that has the ID.

BUT AGAIN… THERE IS NOTHING TO THIS. I’ve been able to do all of this since 1/24.

@dadcollegekid

Honestly, I would just hang tight for now. This ID business is 100% pure speculation and completely random as well. I find it hard to believe that seven pages of random members all got into UCLA. If you can log into MyUCLA (and perhaps see her major), I think that’s more of a tentative, rather than speculative, answer. Not now of course, but when other people begin to be able to do so.
