Looking at the ENF Scholarship Winners list posted yesterday, I noticed it lists 510 total winners and does not list the specific scholarship (i.e. MVS, Legacy or Emergency). Also, there are some states that list zero scholarship winners for 2016, but had several in 2015 and earlier. This all leads me to believe that the MVS scholarship list is not complete yet. I would imagine of the 510 winners posted, several are legacy winners so there are still yet to more names added. In 2015, there were 782 names of which 500 were MVS. Anyone else notice zero names in 2016 for their state? Hold on folks.
I am neither a legacy or emergency so the only thing I can be is a finalist.
I also noticed there were 510 names and my state did show 3 emergency grants listed.
No Winners listed (yet?) for 2016 in AL, DE, NC, DC, HI plus some states such as NE, TX, and UT only list a fraction of the 2016 winners that were listed in previous years. Looks like not all of the 500 MVS finalist for 2016 have been named yet.
My daughter was called and told she has advanced, although her name is not on the list. We live in NC, and I also noticed no names from NC have been included. Iām assuming the list is incomplete.
Was she call by National or your local state? Did she get an e-mail?

I got accepted to Stanford REA, does anyone think that is a major factor? Also, if the list is posted from my state does that mean I am not a finalists? I feel as though they should notify everyone at once instead of playing with our emotions. Going through these comments still gives me hope. Lol
Couldāve been. If you had substantial need, and got in early to a very generous college, your need is āreducedā. Need is a major component of this scholarship.
Look at the MVS winners from your state from 2015, If none or only a fraction are listed for 2016, then the MVS finalist from your state have not been released yet. Unless you get an e-mail from ENF with a negative reply, youāre still in the running. ENF has indicated that official notifications will go out within the next week. Seems like the States have posted some winners earlier than ENF notifications.

This should be the week notifications go out as the last national email said the end of February. There are also more names updated on the website. There were 510 now 515. Should be more I assume throughtout the week.
Im in NC also. I havenāt received a call or email. Probably out of the running

Maybe not. Emails are coming. If you check the list just filter it with 2016 and the names are alphabetically. Even if your name isnāt on there doesnāt mean you are out just yet. Fingers crossed for you >:D<
And there are now even more names added.
As of today, no results yet for NC. Same for a few other states, only 559 names released for All 3 Elks Scholarships. Still another 200+ names to be released shortly so unless you have a e-mail from ENF that says NO, you are still in the running.

Funny- right after I posted we got the reject email (their ears were ringing!)
My S just got a rejection email from the ENF. He was not listed on the State list for Michigan and it had 16 names listed, same as last years number of MVS that went on to the national comp. Now have to wait and see if he was in the next top 30 boys, last year they received $1000 state scholarships.
