I want to transfer to UT Austin during 2016 fall semester. My situation is kind of complicated. I am an international student. I finished my first two years in China with a 3.4 gpa. And then I transferred to the University of Oklahoma. When I finished my first semester in OU, I got 4.0 gpa. My major is petroleum engineering in China and OU.
I really want to transfer to UT Austin and I am wondering which major shall I choose. I am afraid the chances for me to get into engineering department are less. Could anyone help me and give me some advice on how to choose the majors to transfer?
I also have two recommendation letters written by my professors in OU. I have a patent in China and I have several projects. Also, I attend activities in OU as well.
