From Loyola's Facebook page a few hours ago:

Due to a record number of applicants for the Class of 2016, The Undergraduate Admission Office will be mailing admission decisions tomorrow, March 16. We appreciate your patience as we continue to finish Regular Decision review.

Has anyone received decision letters yet? Nothing at all, Southern Nj.

nothing in So California

Decision letters were mailed today, 3/19 according to the admissions office.

It wasn’t mailed on Friday :o
That makes me feel super super sad!

Received. Waitlisted. Oh well. Will definitely go on list. Any ideas on what chances are of getting admitted from list and when might hear? Some schools, like U Del, go through their list but not sure how quickly.

@Bill what state are you in?

I got accepted! Very excited to have another college to consider! State is NJ

NY state. Long Island. Others on Long Island hearing too.

Some confusing data out there on wait list. Some say it gets worked but on one website (**************) it said that for 2009: 1242 went on waitlist, 614 accepted waitlist, 11 admitted !! The Loyola websit is more encouraging on the waitlisted than these statistics.

CT waitlisted

anyone have stats form last year?

I spoke with Loyola. 2009 was around what I posted but what I posted doesn’t say how many they offered admission to of the 614. 2010 no one taken from wait list. 2011 was more than 11 but not sure how many. Our kids have the good fortune to be part of the biggest pool of applicants!

143 out of 625 students who accepted the wait list last year were admitted. If you google “loyola maryland common data set” you can see all the admissions information for the past several years.
Good luck to all.

Thanks funfatdaddy. That’s admitted which I take to mean they went through 143 of the 625 and offered them a spot, as opposed to they went through more than that and 143 accepted an offer of admission, which is not very encouraging.

Bill124…Yes. You are correct.
Good luck to you.

Thanks. My D will need it. Would have preferred this over U Delaware even though more $$$ but I think D will go to U D.

My D was accepted today in DE

If you received merit money would it have been mentioned in your admittance letter?

My d was accepted today, after being deferred EA. The only advice is to follow up with your rep and show your continued interest.

YAYY I got accepted today <3

I thought I had no chance :O!
