@Skepta I have the same issue…I sent in a total of 5 transcripts last week and USC shows that they have received 1. Probably just overloaded like stated earlier
Hi, so I submitted my college and HS transcripts, SAT, my Common App (and the supplemental portion), FAFSA, and my CSS profile. Do I need to submit anything else? There are a bunch of tabs on my youSC portal with links to submit these items, so I’m weirded out. I’ve never applied to USC before. Thanks!
To all of you who have 3.9’s and 4.0’s with majority of G.E. & major prep coursework completed YES. YOU HAVE A GOOD SHOT OF GETTING IN. It’s the people like me with 3.5-3.6’s that have to worry! Lol
@usctransferivc that’s very assuring but you’ll never know what will happen LOL to those 3.9 4.0gpa applicants. I still have my doubts that I’ll get in but at the same time very confident lol
I’ve read your stats from December. As long as you have an upward grade trend, (getting mostly A’s and B’s, and no W) then you’ll increase your chance. Having a solid essay also helps too! Also I think the number of applicants who accept their admit decision will play a role too. More ppl accepting their decisions, less chances that other applicants will be admitted due to limited space.
@pomeranian4rich are you TTP ?
how much of a guarantee do TTP applicants have? I’m really worried because i feel like my essays were not that strong. my gpa is 3.6, which meets the “minimum GPA requirement” for TTP, but at the same time is not that high.
@pomeranian4rich okay well that’s nice to hear but AHHH still so nervous lol. Thanks for referring to my previously posted stats omg that is so cool of you!! I am planning to get all A’s this semester so I’m hoping for a response ahhh!!! So are you a current USC student or a prospective transfer? (Forgive me for not sifting through this forum for your info…) haha.
@kamtea what is a “TTP?”
Trojan Transfer Program. I think it’s given to students who may not have met the criteria for admissions at one point, but USC is interested in the applicant so they offer a plan so that they can be re-evaluated after taking some college course
@usctransferivc i’m a prospective transfer student. apply last year and was rejected due to poor essay and lack of completed GEs.
@kamtea I’ll say TTP are given first priority over everyone else. you guys can expect to hear as early as March but I’ve seen some TTP who didn’t hear by until June. I have a few friends who are on the ttp and I envy them haha. as long as you meet the 3.6gpa requirement then you should not worry. They expect that you can meet the bare requirements otherwise, they wouldn’t have given you the TTP in the first place.
@pomeranian4rich may I ask, how many GEs did you have completed last year when you applied?
@smileesarefree 2 lol yes i know it’s bad despite having a 4.0 gpa in spring. I have all GE’s completed now.
@pomeranian4rich what major did you apply initially with?
@IwcWombat business admin
So I checked my youSC wondering should their be a tick of sorts next to all the items listed under received documents? I see about 6 different items but no ticks.
This portal is confusing as hell
I’m a bit confused on the youSC portal as well. I sent everything in, but on the required documents and document library it is still showing things that I could upload, but I’ve submitted those items!
@SportsNerd24 it’s probably just an error because they’re backed up from all the applications, will probably take them a week to get things sorted out
For those of you who have applied to USC before, do you know if USC still retains our previous application?
I belive so because when I accessed my portal this time, it had my transcripts from the school I entered last year.
