California central coast, no letter yet.
NC, no letter or at least nothing from the school. Need to check their social media because that is how we found out about the semifinal (had to tell the school that they needed to notified the kids).
@Tgirlfriend That’s so cool about the principal! It’s great when the school in enthusiastic! Ours is, too!
@datahead Yes, we’ve had an uptick in mail, but from what OU said, the schools don’t get a list of finalists, only semifinalists. I think they’re just aware of the timing and want to get those offers out in front of us again.
East Coast might be delayed just due to the bad weather.
Dallas area no letter yet
@lookin. They were very specific. Once the student letters go out on Monday, and if your school hasn’t said anything, you can call, and they will tell you. That’s what she said. We’ll see.
Hopefully… schools finally get letters tomorrow and the admins will tell the students, and not be silly.
Eastern Oklahoma, no updates yet~
Nothing here in MN yet.
@Tgirlfriend no, nothing so far!
Nothing yet here in Florida.
nothing in Idaho either
Snow day in NJ… maybe tomorrow…
Congratulations to all of the finalists! This is very exciting after the year of waiting. @Tgirlfriend, I am so excited to hear your results as I know it’s not just for your family but your son’s school.
My son has been sick so not at school today but I would think they would have emailed us if there was news to share. I’ll call on Monday afternoon if we don’t hear by then.
ETA: yes, a huge uptick in emails from schools. Super extended deadlines for NMF so get your app in! LOL. Impressive NMF offers on the table, according to these letters.
I am a National Merit Finalist
Got the Certificate today from my principal.
Stats: 218 PSAT
1470 SAT
35 ACT
Currently at a very small high school with 50 students in my grade, in a rural town.
Applied to a bunch of colleges
Will probably only receive anything due to being a national merit finalist from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which is my state safety school.
Advice: I prepared by just taking like 2 practice psat tests and like 2 or 3 sat tests. Otherwise not much preparation. The best advice I can really give you is to just practice once and really pound those mistakes you made. Learn the concepts in math and english grammar and reading comprehension. Not much else to say. I haven’t really gotten an uptick in emails from what I got before. I think most colleges knew I would be one based on my SAT and PSAT score especially since in my state the qualifying score was like a 214.
High school is pretty ass, college is much better. I already went to like a semester of college over the summer and it was amazing. Just do your best and try to live without regrets. If you can say you did that. You will be happy.

P.S. You can probably find me if you try hard enough, but that would be creepy. Just sayin’
Should we send mid-year grades to nm corp if we are hoping for the $2.5K but not going for school based or corporate scholarships?
Daughter found out in Colorado today at school that she is NMF which means she is going to OU!
@Tschoonover44 hooray!!! congratulations! Boomer Sooner!
Found out that I am a NMF.
Stats:
1460 PSAT
