Does anyone know?

bump! Does anyone have any leads on this?

If you do a two second google search you will find the answer

@happy1 sorry, but that is the opposite of helpful. Obviously this is something I would Google before asking, and the page you linked only speaks in broad terms of what the transfer admit rate is usually like. What I’m asking is: What is the transfer admit rate for Penn specifically for incoming 2017 transfers?

Penn’s transfer acceptance rate has been consistently around 8% - 9% over the past years. Cant imagine it being any different this year. Exact number will come out in the Common data set. Until then, everybody’s answer would be speculation.

Are you just trying to gauge the extent of your success? I see that you got into Penn already.

First there is no need for rudeness – I thought the link would have helpful information about transferring to Penn and you would be surprised at how many people don’t do basic research before asking a question on CC… That said, honestly, I’m not sure what other information you want. The website noted says that every year about 200 transfers are accepted from approximately 2,000 applicants. I’m not even sure if the 2017 transfer cycle is even complete. .I would say that you should figure the transfer acceptance rate to be around 8% - 10%.

And if you got into Penn then why does the transfer acceptance rate matter? Congrats – it is a huge accomplishment. Now go forth and make the most of your time at Penn.

@Dontskipthemoose thanks for your help! I read in another thread that the transfer acceptance rate was much lower this year, so I was curious to see if anyone knew how much lower it was, and if other schools also saw decreased admission rates or if Penn’s just became lower. I know Penn’s admission rate for transfers is among the highest for top schools, so I was curious to see how much it has changed by.
