Hello everyone! I have a question concerning the HS diploma. How should i submit it? i have graduated from the HS outside the US. Thanks all and good luck with admissions!
@GxBearrr That is actually an issue I ran into recently. I wrote my application way back and submitted the classes I was taking at the time. That was a mistake.
Essentially, you want to submit the classes that are not shown on your transcript. That way USC knows, if you will fulfill their GE and prerequisites. All older classes will be reflected on your transcript anyhow.
@bantisz All you have to do is submit your high school transcript, and on the transcript it should state when you got your high school diploma. if your school is outside the us, you should ask them if they can add an extra verification of the date you got your diploma (if your transcript doesn’t already have your grad date)
Thank you mate! but i meant how like the method. I cant find a place in commonapp to submit it. So, should i email it or smth? Thanks again!
Does anyone know how long after the deadline letters of recommendations will be accepted?
Can anyone help me with the question above pleaseee.
Are LOR’s required for transfer applications? (edited) NM - I see they are optional.
I wouldn’t go more than a couple weeks, so mid Feb. they are making decisions for March-April-May release, good if package is together.
Hi @jmek15!
I was wondering about the same thing. I think safest way is to ask your high school to mail it for you to the USC admission office. I wish there is a place to just submit it online.
Yeah you guys need to have your high-school/college submit everything. You can’t do it yourself, because you could be forging the document. The only document that you can send a copy of is the mid-term report. Everything else has to be sent from the school, testing agency etc…
Go to you.usc.edu portal. Log into your account. Then do the following: Submit Application Documents → Document Library → choose whichever appears, either High School Transcript or Additional Info. This is the way I know you can use in order to submit your HS transcript.
@clairen I wouldn’t worry too much. If you are worried about not knowing, once you send in your app you should get a you.usc.edu portal and be able to see if they received the transcript from your school or not.
@Vincent1997 can you expand on the midterm report… they send an email requesting it right? its the thing on the common app?
@swg3hnna Open common app > click on a University > “Recommenders and Ferpa” > Mid-term report. Usually Universities state on the requirements that they’d like to receive it: https://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer-applicants/transfer-application-checklist. I suppose they might contact you as well, but it will probably say on the website.
Everything is submitted on my end. Just waiting for my YouSC account to be created. I’m really anxious, decisions cannot come soon enough.
@Vincent1997 What about when it says
“No. We do not need (or want) the Registrar Report…OR Final Report, Mid-term Report or the College Report. Hooray! Less paperwork!”

I will be mailing my HS transcipt since my HS counselor sent it to the wrong place and messed everything up last year rip… instead, I am thinking of putting the sealed H.S transcript into another envelope, will that be fine?
@usctransfer2018 prob not fam
@swg3hnna Yes, you are right. USC doesn’t require it. I am applying to too many schools to keep track, so I just send it to all of them.
is the high school transcript supposed to be sent before the feb 1st deadline?
