I believe you don’t upload them on the Common App. Rather, you need to request your current school to have them sent. Someone correct me if I’m wrong pls
@jj1999 I couldn’t figure out how to do it so I called and they said I could send an etranscript to USC and not through common app
I believe you can either go through Common App to send your transcript with their transcript request form, which will send your transcript to them and they’ll forward it to USC, or you can send it directly to USC either through mail or electronically, whichever your college does. If your college sends transcripts through mail, this is the address you should give them-
USC Office of Admission
Undergraduate
University Park Campus
Los Angeles, CA 90089-0911
@jj1999 I asked my admission counselor about the transcript issue last week. She told me to just send the transcripts directly to USC. She did not mention anything about USC accepting the Common App transcript verification service. I am just going to send it directly to the Office of Admission.
@vegastransfer alright good I sent my transcript directly to USC.
How about high school transcript? Should that be a sealed envelope mailed directly to USC?
@lunar2015 for your high school transcript, yes, a sealed envelope to USC directly from your high school works. Your high school could also send an electronic copy on your behalf, just like they do with freshman applicants. The important thing is that it is “official.” it has to come directly from your high school.
Did anyone see the comment I posted here?
Also, does my college transcript have to be physical or electronic?
applying to transfer into Geodesign!
currently enrolled in an architecture program with a 3.63 GPA - 32 credits anticipated at time of application

3.8 HS GPA
great supplements and LOR from architecture professor…
anyone else here geodesign??
@StipendAwarded See the answer @s0meusckid95 wrote about transcripts, same for college. I would find a way to make the failure a positive, avoid excuses.
Anyone know if your USC admissions counselor is based on your hs location or university location?
In addition, applying to Marshall/Price with a 3.88 college GPA from a T20, 3.5 hs GPA. Do I have a decent shot at Marshall or should I apply to Dornsife instead? My big concern is I got a B+ in precalc last semseter (the one blemish) and am taking Calc 1 this semester.
@bvbchamps Definitely based on your college’s location. The first time I applied, they used East Los Angeles (I was going to East Los Angeles College). The second time I applied, they went with the most recent community college I was attending (West Los Angeles College). So the second time around, my admissions counselor was somebody else.
Also, I don’t see the B+ being an issue. If you manage to get a C or worse in calc though, that might put your chances in jeopardy.
@woshua Sorry for the late reply! My classes have been killing me. Well, I was actually admitted for my second major choice of sociology. I had only taken 1 sociology course. Granted, I believe only two or three sociology classes transferred over to USC, but I was pretty surprised by that. My first choice was anthropology and I had completed about 5 courses. Not all of them transferred over, but I thought I was more prepared for that major. You don’t need to complete all of the major requirements, but if you don’t meet the minimum math requirement (as in intermediate algebra or higher), that’s bad. I’m not sure how competitive the real estate development major is. Is that in Price?
@zettasyntax thanks so much for that information! They’ll only have my mid-term grade to evaluate for Calculus which is looking to be in pretty good shape right now, wasn’t sure if not taking calc in the fall would be a huge detriment. Thanks again!!
I have a physical copy of my high school transcript, and I guess I will send my college transcript electronically. For Slideroom I will attach the electronic transcript from my college and scan my high school transcript. Am I doing it right?
Is the transcript matching form optional? If not, then do I have to make separate ones for my high school and college ones? And how would I send them?
Welp I submitted. Wish me luck
Most of my material is submitted. I am just waiting on USC to receive my high school and college transcripts. On Monday I will order my GED certificate to be sent as well.
My last battle will be to get my mom to fill out the noncustodial parent CSS Profile. 8-| This should be fun…
@vegastransfer When I went to go order my high school transcripts, I ordered two sets. I opened one and saw that it was completely blank. I thought I had earned some type of credit since I remember getting grades, but I guess not. It was really embarrassing, so I didn’t even submit my HS stuff to USC. I just sent my GED. Good luck with your battle.
@zettasyntax yeah, it’s in price. I was going to choose real estate development, but I decided to pick “Open” or something like that as my 2nd choice major. Is “open” considered undeclared? How does it work if I might ask
@woshua If it’s open/undeclared, that would be in Dornsife most likely. Apparently, USC considers every applicant for undecided and may admit you as such if they really want you as part of their incoming transfer class, but can’t accept you for either of your major choices. It’s happened a few times if you scour the previous stats threads. The first time I applied, I put Undecided as my first major choice and something crazy that I was not at all qualified for - just for the heck of it. I believe it was Computer Science/Games. I don’t see the harm in putting undeclared, but maybe it’s technically wasting one of your choices if you might be considered for it anyway. I’ve always wondered what would have happened if I had put down the major I was ultimately accepted for the second time around. Could I have been at USC a year earlier?
@zettasyntax I ordered my high school transcripts to be sent to me 2 years ago since I curious to see them. I have 2 years worth of grades on them. I am not too concerned though considering my performance in college. Did you just have to send a copy of the GED certificate or did you also send a copy of the GED transcript with your grade on it too?
