2019-2020 USC Transfer

Hey guys, I completely forgot to add the courses I’m taking this semester on my CommonApp submission. If I put the classes in the USC Portal, would that hurt me? Anyways, thanks for the help in advance and good luck to everyone

Just submitted mine! Good luck everyone!

My old high school just sent my transcript by snail mail today. I began the process of trying to contact them all the way back in October… college transcript should have been sent electronically.

@lookingxaround I am sorry you couldn’t reach anyone to get answers. But I think you did all the right things and wish you the best!

So I submitted my application at 9:55 Pacific time, but on the common app it says I turned it in Feb. 2 at 12:55 which I am assuming is eastern time. USC will know that I sent it on time according to my time zone right?

Good luck everyone! Got a 4.0 but I feel like I may be the one who still gets rejected despite having TTP

@bvbchamps no I didn’t, did you get access? from what I remember from high school it takes a few days to be able to receive an email to access it but tbh I forgot so idk.

@ramblebrisket save me some typing and bop a page back to post #370. All good.

Hey guys!! so I went to my colleges registrars office got an official transcript and then sent it to USC’s admission office. But before I submitted my common app today I noticed that it said something about a transcript matching form and how you need to mail your transcript directly to Common app processing center from the registrars office . I’m really stressed someone pls help !!!

Also In regards to transcripts do they have to sent to Usc admission before the deadline ?? Bc If I have to resend the transcript the way I said the common app said to do it in the above comment will that affect my application?. Ahh I’m freaking out guys

I don’t think transcripts have to be submitted by the deadline, as long as you don’t turn it in a month after the deadline you should be fine. One to two weeks won’t hurt you.

I sent my high school transcript January 30th and they’re in Los Angeles, but have not arrived. Is that okay? I also sent my college transcript at 12 pm February 2 electronically through National Student Clearinghouse to etrans@usc.edu. It hasn’t been delivered/processed yet. Am I okay? Do I have to mail it physically? Kind of unsure and very sad at the prospect that my application won’t be considered

@iheartkitties Don’t worry! As long as your app is submitted on time, admission says that’s it’s okay if transcripts come in a little late.

@ballout Okay, good. Thanks!

I had a rough time last night. I had two different games that I was ready to send to my SlideRoom application. The first game was made in Unreal, but it was taking such a long time to build that it would not build on time. I had to make a zip of the game that was made on time. The second game was made in Unity and was built on time. I could not find a place to put either playable game in my SlideRoom, due to the files not being accepted. All I could do was put pictures of the former in my creative work sample. I plan on contacting them about the issue and will send them the build on Monday. I guess that will not make a difference, right?

Also, in the (highly likely) event I get rejected again, could I used the completed version of the game that I tried to send them as my creative work sample the next time around? Or should I make a different game? And in terms of websites, should I make a private website just so they can play the game? I want to self publish my game, so a website may be redundant.

@beehappyy Having transcripts sent directly to USC is the way to go. You are good.

Hey everyone!

In regards to the transcript question about when are they supposed to be in, I was in contact with one of the admissions counselors and they told me not to worry if the transcript is late getting to them. I am in winter session classes at my CCC, and the grades are due by around sometime this week. I explained that to them, and they said not to worry and just get it in when those grades are in. So, don’t worry if your transcripts are a little late. It won’t affect anything. Hope to see most of you in the Fall! Good luck to all!

Hello. I submitted my application the afternoon of Feb. 1st and still have not received an email to get set up with the YouSC portal. Is anyone else in this situation?

Same. Perhaps they’re just on their weekends off?
I wanted to check my transfer status this morning but the common app kept saying I had the wrong password even though I’ve already changed one. It makes me super anxious now lol

@EELIZABETH13, I submitted mine on the 31st and got an email from USC with the username and pin to my account on the USC Applicant Portal two days later. Hopefully, you’ll get yours by Monday.

Chance me, please!!
