@Steamedz Well it’s obvious that no one here works at USC who doesn’t know what? lolllll According to your poor logic, no one should be asking for chances in this thread then. Why are you guys acting so negative on ppl’s stats all of a sudden? Jealous of other people’s stats?lol They just post their stats and talk with each other, isn’t this what this thread was made for? Why don’t you go say that to all of those who asked for chances here and not only to certain people
I just received my USC portal email. Btw when is their decision coming out?
Not 100% certain but I read online that they’ll notify you by June 1st at the very latest.
I think you have a pretty good shot! At this point, I think its your essays that will separate you from the rest of the applicants who have 4.0’s.
Does having trojan transfer plan help? I have a 4.0 and am worried about being one of the ppl rejected
It sucks to be me. I had a rough time trying to submit my application. I had two different games that I was ready to send to my SlideRoom application. The first game was made in Unreal, but it was taking such a long time to build that it would not build on time. I had to make a zip of the game that was made on time. The second game was made in Unity and was built on time. I could not find a place to put either playable game in my SlideRoom, due to the files not being accepted. All I could do was put pictures of the former in my creative work sample. I plan on contacting them about the issue and will send them the build on Monday. I guess that will not make a difference, right?
Also, in the (highly likely) event I get rejected again, could I used the completed version of the game that I tried to send them as my creative work sample the next time around? Or should I make a different game? And in terms of websites, should I make a private website just so they can play the game? I want to self publish my game, so a website may be redundant.
Also, my Common Application essay was very close to, but under 650 words. I thought it was supposed to be under 650, not over 650. Does that jeopardize me?
@jj1999 and anyone else,
How do USC counselors know about applicants on TTP? I ask since my son was given that option last yera but never contacted anyone at USC about it. At that time he was extremely disappointed and didn’t want to transfer, and he had tuition scholarship at the university he’s currently at. He did submit his USC transfer app last week.
Wait your essay has to be 650 words? I thought that was just the limit
@lunar2015 if you had a meeting with them in the summer theyll know
I took the courses offered that the articulation agreement allowed but theyre considered easy… would I get rejected
Does anyone else have Hope Amaral as their admissions counselor? I’ve been trying to reach her both through email and phone call for several weeks now, but could never get a response from her
Was I supposed to have listed labs down on my transcript? I did not list them down, and I am worried that might cause inconsistencies.
@lunar215 He would have had to confirm interest in TTP and set up a meeting last summer with advisor last year to be considered as a TTP applicant, he will be considered in the regular transfer pool. TTPs with the right GPA and courses taken is pretty much a guaranteed transfer.
Here’s a still relevant thread on TTP for those interested:
Umm…what is a trojan transfer plan? I just searched it up but have no idea what that is. Can anyone explain to me plz??
Look at post above yours and check out link. It’s all there. It is something only offered when denied as a freshman applicant.
Ohh okay thanks! I guess that doesn’t apply to me since I didn’t graduate from high school in the US
@StipendAwarded I didn’t write down the labs separately either. I think it’s fine as long as you listed the courses exactly the same as that appeared on your transcript
Just got my USC portal and saw the list of pending documents. I have 72 college credits under my belt, at least 60 of which are transferrable, so I thought they would not need my high school transcript, but it is on the list of pending documents I did not send yet.
I applied last year as a transfer, and I know my HS transcript was the biggest factor for my rejection. Had a squeaky clean report card up until second semester 11th grade when a LOT of bad stuff happened. But now that I have a bunch of credits and a 4.0 college transfer GPA, is it possible to waive or not send the HS transcript? I heard it doesn’t matter after you have hit around 60 units and I don’t want to be rejected for the same exact reason as last year, especially since the bad grades were a one semester thing due to some awful circumstances. It doesn’t sit well that all of my chances would be dictated by that one semester.
Since that one bad semester, my record has been great, so is it possible to either waive the HS transcript altogether since I am at 72 college credits?
@classoftwenty21 I think they only look at it to make sure you graduated and especially since you have 60+ credits, they won’t care about your high school record at all
@CADREAMIN - Thank you for your response and a link to TTP. My son did not express interest in TTP and did not meet with anyone at USC last year, so hopefully it will not be seen unfavorably, now that he is applying for a transfer. I guess he’ll find out in May.
