2019-2020 USC Transfer

@vousmeuerz That happened to me too. I called admissions and they found the transcript and added it to my application!

@vousmeuerz I was concerned whether they received my GED certificate and transcript or not since there is not a spot for it on my portal. I contacted my counselor and she was able to confirm that they received it pretty quickly. My counselor is on it though :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone have Hayley Camin as their counselor? What’s her email?

@kim1298 @vegastransfer Thank you! I should call the admissions tomorrow

Can anyone give a rundown of when the waves of decisions were in previous years? Much appreciated

kim, if you have contact with your noncustodial parent, you most likely won’t get it waived.

It’s very rare those are waived indeed.

HELP FROM CURRENT OR PREVIOUS MARSHALL APPLICANTS PLEASE!!!

So the prerequisite for Marshall applicants is WRIT 150 and Calculus. I took English 1A and English 1C at my CCC. However, I just went on the USC Articulation agreement and it says English 1C is WRIT 130, not 150…

Can anyone confirm with me if English 1C meets the prereq requirement?

Also, if it doesn’t, can someone tell me what WRIT 150 is? I’m trying to find a course equivalent at De Anza or Foothill so that I can take it during Spring Quarter if needed but I can’t find it anywhere.

Thank you!!

@relo30 March 30, April 20-23, May 1, May 9, and rest are scattered.

Here is last year’s thread for stats and decisions
http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/2069354-usc-2018-2019-transfer-students-stats-decisions-only-p1.html

It was super scattered last year. Just a couple waves - I thought there was one between first/second week of April, then later April, and May. But more than any other year from those prior, it was more little sputters that dragged on, than significant waves.

Hello @taki123 . I am also a De Anza student also hoping to transfer to USC marshall. English 1c does not meet the prerequisite requirement. However, you can meet it by taking EWRT 2. That is the WRIT 130 equivalence. You can find USC to De Anza course equivalence via https://camel2.usc.edu/articagrmt/artic.aspx. Hope this helped!

Does anyone know if USC admissions will take honors courses into account?

Do you think it will be held against me if I got all A’s by taking easy CC classes? I am applying for Marshall, but my TTP Counselor literally told me not to take Economics or Accounting, since I’d have to take them again if I get accepted at USC.

How long did it take for your guys’s high school transcript to get received?

@90smix took ~2weeks. I’m applying to several school and honestly USC has been by far the FASTEST in processing papers. Some schools just tell you to come back April to check.

@Snekfest Okay, thanks for letting me know

Hi guys, so I recently had to change classes due to acceptance into my colleges Honors Program, and I emailed the counselor who’s over my college but haven’t gotten a reply. Should I call admissions and notify them of my class change or just assume my counselor received my email and changed it?

@90smix I was pleasantly surprised that USC had all of my documents processed in a week. I had all of my transcripts ordered to be sent by mail on Jan 25th. Everything was noted on my portal by Feb 1st. The only school that was faster at processing documents for me was Claremont McKenna. :stuck_out_tongue:

So I filled out the waiver that exempts my non-custodial parent from putting down their information. I’ve been seeing comments of that waiver not being highly waived. Is that true? How long does it take to find out if it is waived or not? Is it right after submitting a third-letter or…

If my my non-custodial parent were to fill out her financial information on the css profile, will her tax return be required by the school???
