Just got my first acceptance from Northeastern. Nice to know my new safety is somewhere that I wouldn’t mind being. Eyes set on the bigger prize though

@Fiona1997 Sorry to hear that! Don’t worry about it too much though. We didn’t get the opportunity to write NEU specific essays, so they don’t get the same opportunity as ND does to understand the real you.
Yes, I’ve known several people who have gotten in with a 31. 31 is a great score and valued by many, many schools.

@collegefan6 I really hope they were serious about my likely letter then because they purchased a nonrefundable plane ticket for me to visit this Saturday-Tuesday, and if I don’t go I have to pay the price of the ticket.
@XoXdreamerXoX You just made my day! I have a 30 ACT also and everyone here has high stats and I’ve just been shredding my nerves on these stupid (but helpful!) forums. The information on these forums is so juicy but it’s really done a blow to my confidence in getting into my top schools. Oh well. I’m Mexican, Yaqui Native American, and Armenian, wrote really good essays and I’m super involved, so I hope they can see through a mere 30 ACT (but really, 30 isn’t even that bad). I am just so through with waiting…my best friend got accepted EA to UChicago and was given early admission to UC Berkeley, so I’m just really nervous. At least I was accepted to Cal Poly SLO Architecture!

yeah for the people who are saying friday, where have you heard that from? how do we even know that it will be this week?
@collegefan6 I trust that it’s Friday, but why the morning? Usually colleges release decisions after students are let out of school.

Guys don’t get too hyped up, no one has confirmed that it’s friday. First of all why wouldn’t it be thursday if they’re the fighting irish (they released EA decisions at 18:42 military time, they year of their founding. They’re sentimental about this stuff, st. patricks day would make sense). Not only does friday NOT make sense, friday morning makes even less sense. We could be waiting until next wednesday for all we know, hang in there
